Get it? Get it? Yeah, I didn't think so. Here's the back story. My Japanese class is the coolest class in the world. We took a "field trip" tonight to have some sushi. All in the name of research and culture submersion, of course! (shhh...don't tell the dean of the language department!)
Now, this being a college course and all, there's just so much to take in and study...I'm now going to share some knowledge I've gained. Tonight, I learned everyone's FIRST names rather than continually calling each other Smith-san and Jones-san. I learned that 90% of the guys in the class have an Asian-fetish (but, really, that was no surprise). I learned not to dare the guy that sits in front of me to drink half a glass of soy sauce. I learned that he would do it without hesitation. I learned that the boy that sits in the front of class can scoop a spoonful of wasabi into his mouth and not even cringe. Last, but not least, I learned that my sensei can down a sake bomb like nobody's business!!!! How do you say "awesome" in Japanese? "Awesome" wa nihongo de nan to iimasu ka?
