new orleans was amazing
in terms of just plain fun and just wow at the amount sof destruction
one of my cousin's friends is works for nopd and was telling us about a lot of the stuff... swimming through flood waters to and from jet skis to rescue people from the roof of their house bc for various reasons they couldnt get the jet skis there
being shot at by looters as they boated by a cemetary
just scary stuff
but also a lot of fun and thigns that were just plain encouraging in terms of life
i am so grateful for everythign i have right now
friends who are absolutely amazing
my family who lets me go to new orleans, my family in new orlenas who gets me wasted at a 10x10 "bar", and everyone else
and then the fact that i have a home that is intact and my thigns that arent scattered around and a house that doesnt have fish inside- on the 2nd floor
my new years resolution is to never forget how much i have and how lucky i am and how much i love life and all the opportunities i have and to take full advantage of everythign- to love every moment of my life
also, i am going to move to new orleans
yes, i love nyc and chicago and stuff
bgut new orleans
ive been obsessed for eyars now anyway
sinc ei went to my cousins weddign a few years ago it was sealed
and now...there is no doubt
they say it will essentially just be a big bowl full fo water within 100 years anyway
so, im going to move there asap and take full advantage of it while i can
laura and i toured tulane and loyola- on our own bc they were still not open and doing a otn of construction so theyre ready for students on jan 17th- but still
seh fell in love with the city and wants to go there now
