News of the Weird
On Saturday my brother discovered his place had been burglarized and his truck stolen. All things considered, it could have been worse. They didn't vandalize his place, but did steal his electronic equipment, stationary jack, and Letty's jewelry. Today, Dad and my Brother went to meet the insurance adjuster at my brother's house. The adjuster was already there, and so was my Brother's truck!!!
There was a little confusion at first as Dad and Ken thought the adjuster had brought the truck, but they determined that in fact, the thief or thieves had returned the vehicle. It was washed and detailed and everything had been taken from the inside, including, oddly enough, the knob to the gear shift. The police officer had never heard of this happening before, and neither had the detective I spoke to today that I work with.
The adjuster said that there was a tow truck across the street from my Brother's house when he arrived. The tow truck that brought back the stolen truck? Who knows?
We're glad the truck is back and is in good condition, all things considered. No gas, of course. :P
