A near-death experience.
Early Friday morning, a series of tornadoes raged through central Florida about 20 miles from where I was staying.
I slept through the whole thing.
I didn't even know about it until I turned on the TV the next morning and saw the story on every channel.
The interview process - if you could call it an interview; it was highly unorthodox due to the state of emergency in the newsroom in response to the storms - went well, but I still don't know if I'm ready to sacrifice writing and reporting for a copy-editing job. Even if it is at a New York Times paper.
And so, the job search continues...
