snow = riding
well, i think the weather turned back to winter recently which is good, because i was getting pretty sad with the sled just sitting in the shed....friday night we got a pretty big snow storm, with totals around the 8 inch mark around here, and pretty wet snow at first, so a good base....last night it was odd because it was really foggy out, and the temps dropped really low, down into the single digits....suprising
well...earlier in the week the focus was on work at walbro and ice hockey....tuesday night i played a good game with 3 goals and maybe an assit....two of the goals being very nice....my mom and sister where to watch, so that made me pretty happy....thursday night we won our first game of the year, by two...the other team was pretty short handed team wise, so it will be intresting to see how it turns out this tuesday...
things at walbro have been very busy, almost crazy...but we are making a lot of progress on both the arctic cat and polaris programs.....speaking of work, i hit a deer or maybe even two of them, ha...on the way into work friday morning, pretty close to M-53 & M-81, westbound on cass city road...took out my front fender, door, and diver's side window....i am really lucky i didn't suffer one cut...since there was glass all over my entire car...i even had to throw away an energy drink i had open, in fear that glas may have got in it as well....so stan is fixing it up for me...hopefully have it back for the weekend, 2147 in estimated damages
friday night heather and slim rode out to a party near applegate with me, it turned out to be a pretty fun time, actually was the same place i was at last week...i got to dj again, kinda...so i think that is what made this party better than last, there ended up being a lot of people dancing, maybe 40 people there when it was at its peak...the drive out there was kinda fun...at times it snowed so hard you could hardly see....the drive home was unfortuntely much too long!
last night sam and I went and got food at champions, pretty good stuff, then went to a house party at keinth's and then to nichol's new trailer on stone road.....the driveway was over full in no time...making a mess for people wanting to leave...neither party was too crazy...i can't wait to have something at the cabin..maybe this friday for sam's birthday....if so i want to do it big :)
went to church this morning...had lunch...did some riding today on the sled...the one field in front of vogel's house is pretty fun, zipping across it at about 70, catching some pretty good air over all the little hills...fun stuff
slim and sam came over today and we watched a dvd that mr.ford has made about the wolverine in the thumb, pretty neat to see....whats really cool is to know that somewhere in my back yard (aka minden city swamp 1 mile behind my house) lives a wolverine that may be the fist to inhabit the area in hundreds of years....i wonder if i ever got close to it while picking blueberries!!
i feel that i am in a much better mood this week then a week or two ago....i think for lots of reasons....hockey, i love it so much....the weather...getting to ride my investment of a sled....and also the fact that it is staying light out longer, and longer each day....and women...seems like i have much to look forward to
well...i hope i write in here again sooner than later....next big thigns for me ice hockey games tue and thur and then the kid rock concert this saturday...don't know who is going yet, but i hope to have a very memorable time!
