Ok, so I'm taking a TV Production class this semester and the final project is an actual TV show that we have to make ourselves. Anyway, we've been discussing ideas for the past 2 weeks and the first thing to come up was an X-Treme Sportz show, which had me all :noway: . Then came a cultural-educational show, to which I said they should have a montage of Madonna dressed up as a geisha in the background and they said no.
So finally I suggested today that we do a musical. Everyone was like, . And then it was, like, can it be done? I mean, I don't see why not. Plus it's not something that has been done so much it won't be original. And it will be exciting! To me, anyways. :o
But now we need permission from the publishers of whatever it is we decide to adapt, to use the music and lyrics. And I heard there's a way of doing it, where you write and say that you're a student from _________ and your class is planning to do this and that for a special project and it won't be for profit, etc.
But I've got no clue how to contact any of these people! We don't even know what we're going to do. Personally I say we should do Chicago.
So, anyone got a clue of what I should do? Gracias.
