Last day of a real job for a while
As I sit in my empty cubicle, it is apparent to me that I am about to begin the next chapter in my life. It's scary, sad and exciting all in one emotion. I will have many more opportunities to further my career while I'm at LSU, I can tell already.
There is an audition scheduled already for the Fall Opera Laniappe program, and if I understood the email correcty, one of the directors for the Met is going to be there at the auditions and direct this Fall's program. Like I said...exciting, but SCARY. Ah well, I have to do what Stuart says and face my fears and go for it.
I will miss the paycheck and some of the people here, but it will be worth leaving. I have to keep reassuring myself I'm doing the right thing. At least there won't be anymore high school drama in what is supposed to be a professional setting...I hope. No money and a busy, crazy, hectic schedule...here I come!!!
