(no subject)
Ok, like I promised.
FRIDAY: 3:12pm. The bell goes. an uncontrollable wave of euphoria overtakes me.
"why are you smiling?"-Andy
"have you taken any drugs?"-Cal
The feeling is incredible.
Cal and I catch the bus to George St. I go buy credit and then we go to woolworths and buy mother, meanwhile calling people about whether they are coming. Most people say no. We go back to the cinema to wait, Kate comes, and we conclude that this is the entire party, minus Cal who has to go hang out with his grandparents.
After a bit of confusion we work out that the non-$40 session is at 6.40, so it's noodle market time. Then who do we run into, but Will and Moira. We spend a while sitting in the park, eating noodles and laughing our heads off. Eventually me and Kate have to go.
Burn After Reading was amazing. I loved it. Everyone is like 'rar stupid ending', but that's the point. It was super hilarious and really really good and I probably would like to go see it again once my money situation is less dire.
So afterwards we went back to hyde park to try and hook up with Erini, but in the end she didn't come, so we bought poffertjes and sat on the grass and talked for several hours. It was dark, and kind of cold, so we went home. I think I got back around elevenish.
SATURDAY: woke up early to meet everyone at Broadway. we caught the 370, and I kind of liked that bit, sitting on the bus in the sun, nothing doing. Then we got to Coogee, nearly set up, and then spotted the others.
So we hung out with them, other people went swimming, I read some more of Ulysses while they all did some crazy thing on the rocks. Didn't get sunburned either. We left at about three, and we were going to hang out at broadway but Ella and Andy dogged us for the Newtown festival. So me and Mattias went to meet Pounder.
We bought wedges, and easyway, and stood around for a while trying to pick a movie even though none of us had any money for it. So eventually I just convinced Will and Mattias to come over to mine and get high with me.
Then andy called. So we met up with him, and he came over too. My parents went to see Burn after Reading on my reccomendation. We made a bong out of Mattias's sprite bottle, blutack and the coffee-holder bit of a percolator. It took a while to get right, but once we did, we weren't low, that's for sure.
Actually only me and Will were really feeling it. Though I think Andy and Mattias had a pretty nice time. Then we ate. Will asked super politely for a carrot, and I think that's all he had. We had a dance party in my study listening to pendulum and flicking the light switch on and off. Andy missed it.
Anyway, then Andy had to leave, and we watched Iron Man. Will had to go during, but he got really good news that Moira is moving to a house two streets from andy. So we watched the end of Iron Man, which got a bit boring, but the explosions and fight scenes (of which there were far too few) were pretty good. Mattias left, and I pretty much collapsed into bed.
And here I am, after twelve hours solid sleep, feeling fantastic.
So I imagine that wasn't very interesting to read, but when I need a record that there are good times, especially so that in what I expect will be some hard few weeks, I can come back and remember.
