LiveJournal:
What on earth do you think you are doing?
I do not agree with this new purging method in which you will delete, not only inactive or suspended accounts but also the comments posted in other people's journals by the users of the purged accounts.
I thought the comments posted in my journal were considered part of my account. So if you delete the comments from inactive or suspended users from journals - other than the ones those users owned - especially from paid accounts, I would consider it invading private property.
You have no right to touch, in any way or form the contents, of my journal because even if an account has been suspended, not all the comments posted from that user could be offensive. Or, if the account was deleted or inactive, that doesn't mean the recipient of those comments didn't appreciate them and wants to keep them as memories of people who are no longer LJ users for whatever reason.
And I don't want to have a journal with anonymous comments, few as they are, in which I won't be able to remember who posted what, in case you decide to leave the comments but delete the user names so other people can buy them later.
*sigh* I like you LJ, but you seem determined to lose me.
