Sleep evaded Gwen as she restlessly tossed and turned. The house felt empty, absent of his presence, yet it was too full of him as well.
Gwen closed her eyes tight pleading with her brain to remove the image of his face, the feel of his lips against hers; the ache inside her chest. But every time Gwen thought she’d succeeded a waft of his scent would come up from her pillow and she became all too aware of the fact he’d been in her bed, her house, her life and that his kiss had gone deeper than her skin.
