Crazy People Do Make Me Feel Crazy

I recently had the misfortune of coming into contact with a crazy person. Not crazy in the outward I-talk-to-myself-and-don't-bathe-regularly crazy, but crazy in a manipulate you and make you feel horrible about yourself way. Truth is, this person has lived in a box their entire life and is the definition of a special snowflake, even though they love to go on and on about how average they are. Mmhmm. So, casually throwing out that they bought an iPad or they make 100k a year, or when they say they bought tickets to a concert, they weren't lawn seats, they were the whole fucking VIP package makes them feel better to talk to me, a peon.

I went to a college graduation party over the weekend. I got suitably drunk. Conversation with said sociopath went like this.
Special Snowflake: So, what'd you do this weekend?
Me: I went to a party.
SS:Have fun?
Me: Yeah, got pretty drunk
SS: Why?
Me: Because I wanted to
SS: Whatever, it's YOUR body and YOUR brain cells.

and then proceeded to go on and on about how I was probably an alcoholic. Puh-lease. I never drink. If I do, on rare occasions, it's A. When I don't have my children (which eliminates 26 days out of the month) or B. When I'm at a party/social gathering. So, two days out of the month (maybe) I drink. And I'm an alcoholic. Every person I've ever met is obviously an alcoholic. They all drink at parties. Let's call the freaking Betty Ford Clinic.

Really, crazy person. You can DIAF. Please.

Then, Special Snowflake goes on and on about my potential and how I'm just wasting my life. Okay, I'm 26 years old. I work full time. I have two beautiful children and a husband I adore. I'm back in school, working on another degree. What in the fuck do you want from me? I don't get it, SMH. I'm actually happy with my life and the choices I've made. Do I want to be a millionaire? No. Do I want to be happy and satisfied? Yes. Okay then, that's not wasting your life.

Sorry to vent, f-list. But, Jeebus, I need to eliminate craziness.

rambles, personal
