First update...Work.
So I've now been working at Teaopia for quite some time. And it's been an overall very good experience. We're technically not Teaopia anymore -- if you try to go to our website, you'll be kindly redirected to the Teavana version now -- but it seems not a whole heck of a lot is going to be changing until some time in August. I appreciate it, though there are a bunch of new closing routines to learn. Nothing particularly difficult.

- I like the girls I'm working with, though one of them recently got fired, and as such, I have been working nearly non-stop for the past week
- The store itself is lovely, and I've bought more tea merchandise than I ever thought I would, though the location could stand to be better; I'm none too fond of dealing with crazies and homeless people
- Selling tea, while easy enough once you have someone who actually wants it there, is devilishly difficult if the person comes in and is "just looking"
- Sales are a finicky thing; on Saturday, I sold $540 worth. On Sunday, I maybe made $190 in sales. Dangerous and fickle mistress, the tea business
- My boss is great; she treats all of the staff (all three of us now) as her children
- I have never drank as much tea as I do now, and I kind of look forward to the store change in August when I'll be able to try even more new teas; Teavana has a different -- and more expensive -- selection than Teaopia does
