Sanctuary - Fallen for you
He’d been angry at first. Here she was, trying to replace Ashley. Ashley. Nobody did that. He had hated how she manipulated everyone and everything for her own ends. He pretty much had hated everything about her, especially the way she walked through the Sanctuary like it was hers.
He’d just lost a sister and now a new woman was stepping into her combat boots. He didn’t trust her, and he certainly didn’t like her.
She was flashy and arrogant, greedy and selfish. Nothing like Ashley. Raven hair and dark eyes that could show so much set her apart from the girl who was his sister. Like night and day.
But as he spends time with her, he begins to notice their similarities. Both are driven by the hunt, they demand perfection and their own space. Both are slow to admit their faults and posses a rebellious streak a mile wide.
He’s not sure when the day comes and he finds himself staring at her thoughtfully, or when he finds her staring back.
All he knows, he thinks as she snuggles against his chest, is that someway, somehow, he fell in love.
And when he thinks about it, that's all that really matters.
