Now that Caster has teamed up with his new Master, Oichi, he'll be starting a campaign of atrocities every now and then across Mayfield; however, he will specifically be targeting a particular location that has been on his mind for a good while: the Church ( Read more... )

He can't take back anything, but I am so tempted to have Alessandro just there for that....

And he's the Pope, right? Oh, dear.

Caster will have plenty of choice words for him.

Yep, the 15 year old child Pope.

He will be so scared.

Depending on his world, he may know about Gilles de Rais and Jeanne d'Arc. He'll specifically ask the kid about God and whatnot, bide his time, make him feel he's going to be all right...

and throw him to the demons. It's just what Gilles does.

Alas he doesn't, most history before Armageddon (sometime in the 21st century) is lost. So Jeanne d'Arc is probably lost or melded with a more recent event to form a new legend. Abel probably would know that stuff since he knows history before that time.

Oh, really? Hm, Jeanne d'Arc was also canonized as a saint in Catholicism too, so I imagined she might have been remembered as a part of the faith, but.. then again, I suppose if a lot of things were lost after the end of the world, it's expected.

Ah, but Abel. Now that will be fun...

Which is why I would assume that she's been mixed with another person at this point. Trinity Blood takes place 900 years after Armageddon where the world lost most of the places people live (America is unknown, Asia and most of Russia are uninhabitable wasteland) technology and history is being rediscovered. The Church has done what it always does, teaches what it feels like and during their new holy war a lot of old stories got mixed with new heroes. So a lot of stuff that wasn't in the bible got skewed over time and became something a little different or lost. It's pretty interesting to think about actually.

Heh.

Ahh... Okay, that's... yeah, that's pretty impressive. Right, once you lose a lot of your historical texts and information, you can't do much beyond just piece things together. The major beliefs stayed the same but not so much what exactly the Church itself has done in the pasts, its history, or whatnot. Right, that sounds good enough. I'm still pretty excited about pushing Gilles to test Alessandro's faith if only because he's that sort of a heretic. Even if he himself believes pretty deeply in God, but hates Him with all his soul.

But beyond that, I think Alessandro will be fine. Depends on how accustomed he is to atrocities. ... but then again, he has been in Mayfield for a while.

He's pretty sheltered but at the same time he's been attacked or almost attacked frequently. A few months before he arrived in mayfield he was attacked by undead super soldiers and kidnapped and kept as a hostage for like a month, and then almost murdered so his uncle could take the papacy. (He deals with these things by fainting and freaking out though....)

He will do his best to defend his faith! It's really all he has and since he's young (and was made the Pope at the age of 10) he doesn't really have much else.
