Wendy likes Cain! He's polite, intelligent, and he laughs at her jokes.
She doesn't really talk to kids much, unless she's rescuing them from impending doom, so to meet a nice, well-adjusted youngster is interesting. Wendy will definitely keep talking to him.
She also feels like there's something...off about him, though. He's almost too mature. Don't most boys just like dirt and punching? Hmmm.
So, even before meeting Wally West in the fleshy flesh, Wendy Watson liked him. He was funny, suave, just the right amount of cheesy, and also The Flash, her favorite superhero.
Now that's she's met him, she still thinks he's the best. They share a similar sense of humor, occupations, and just. She likes him. He's nice, and normal in a weird way. Being able to joke and investigate with someone is very comforting for Wendy right now. He is definitely her favorite, most bestest friend in Mayfield.
That being said, Wendy is also being...very careful. She doesn't want to get attached to someone, because...she's pretty sure the Middleman is going to show up any day now, guns blazing, and say "Alright, Dubbie, it's time to head home," so doesn't want to be friends with someone to the point where she'd miss them. It was bad enough that she had to abandon AU!Lacey.
Even then, though, they are definitely besties. They have a brosismance. And it is awesome.
At the start of their thread, Wendy thought Susan was pretty cool. She was funny, witty, and had some moxie. She was good at keeping up with the jokes and making her own. While Susan may have seemed a little odd, she was for the most part just quirky and cool.
Aaaand then she went all Medusa, which, admittedly freaked Wendy out at first. Then she processed it, accepted it, and moved on. Which is what Wendy does when confronted with something out-of-the-ordinary.
So while Wendy is wary of her, and will definitely be on her guard while talking to Susan, she would still talk to her again.
