Hair shining and clean from the hot springs, they waltzed in and were suddenly faced with something they had neglected to notice before. Ami and Taiga stared at the bed. A single double bed with not a couch nor cot in sight. Not that either would have been happy with a cot.

No. No no no she was not sharing a bed with Aisaka, there was no way! Her first instinct, to turn and ask the teacher in charge of this field trip if there was any mistake was cut off by a loud call of 'lights out' and the shutting of their door.

"I'm taking the bed, you sleep on the floor," and Taiga was already sitting on the edge of the bed, taking off her houseshoes and fluffing the pillow.

"No way! I'm not sleeping on that cold wood floor, you do it!" Ami lifted the covers on the other side, glaring.

"Stupid Chihuahua, you go do it."

"I need my beauty sleep!"

"Ah ah, well for someone as ugly as you~"

A pillow thwacked onto Taiga's head, the covers tossing and flipping as Taiga smacked Ami right in the face and Ami sent Taiga tumbling right off the bed. Her murderous eyes as she climbed back on didn't even phase Ami and she lifted the pillow high.

"Stupid stupid Chihuahua!"

Neither was sure who won but it ended with them back to back, glaring in opposite directions and sullenly nursing bruises.

Of course the picture was completely different when Minori and Ryuuji came in to wake them up.

Ami sprawled over half the bed and Taiga curled up right by her side in a tangle of blankets.
