I promised Chanie...
01. So first of all, I start by creating the picture I want to scroll, usually size about 150-160x100. This is the one I created:
02. Now that I have the base image, I prepard the icon itself - opened a new 100x100 image, and slapped on a border made by cosmo_mouse on a new layer:
03. Then I merged the layers on the base image, and copied it under the layer that had the border on it, so it looked like this:
04. I saved this as frame #1, and using the deformation tool, moved the base image slightly to the left, 10ish pixels, saved as frame #2, and so on until I reached the right end of the base image:
05. To spice it up a bit, I added text on the image and saved it as frame06, which I will later fade to from frame05:
06. Finally, I merged all layers but the border layer, and applied Motion Blur on angle 90, intensity 40, and saved as frame07:
07. I opened animation shop, put the frames into a new animation. I did a 30/100 seconds delay on all frames but the last two, 5/100 on the last, and 100/100 on the one before it. Then I did the fade between 05 & 06.
