Autumn, my sister, came to us last night and said that she might be moving out in August or September. Its ok with me, but it took me by surprise. We had been discussing with her timelines for her to move that were around January or April of next year (that was because we wanted our own space but didn't want her to feel like she was being rushed or kicked out- nothing negative, we just wanted the space to ourselves). She said she had talked to my mom about moving back in with her to save some money (about 500 a month) and eventually get her own apartment. We've been trying to convince Autumn for months now that she could without a doubt afford her own place, but she's been afraid. I get it, shes never had to do it by herself. That and she not willing to give up anything she likes if she can help it, mainly cable tv and internet. lol. I told her that when I lived it Tampa I had no cable tv, and only dial up internet. She laughed at me and said she wasn't going to do that because she didn't have to. ha. So, now I'm starting to think about what life might be like without her there. We've proven we can pay our bills without her money. So I'm happy about that. The only bummer is, we'd been using her extra money to pay off debt. So the rate at which we can pay things down is going to diminish faster than I thought, and what that means is, its going to further put off certain upgrades to the house.
So... we'll see what happens. It'll be nice to have the extra space, and 1 less dog. In fact I think Mekah may behave better by herself, once she gets over her partner in crime not being there (which I'm slightly worried about. We've raised them together since they were 8 weeks old. They'll be a year in August). I'm going to miss Autumn though. Its nice being able to see her and spend time with her and she is Kenny's buddy. She humors him and enjoys thing with him that I just dont. So that part I'll miss.
In other news, I finally caved and let Kenny get the grill he wanted. All 400 dollars of it. Mind you, this was before we got Autumn's announcement. Bummer. lol. We have done really awesome the last 2 months and had some extra money, Kenny has been talking about it for months and I was feeling generous yesterday. Great. lol.
The upside is, it'll last. And I can use that grill whenever I want, without waiting for coals to be ready. So I know we'll get a lot of use out of it. It'll all work out in the end. We'll have to scrimp a little more and wait a little longer for things, but I know we'll be just fine.
Finally, I'm getting my car fixed at last. Mom backed into it about 6 months ago and put a big dent in the driver's side door of my brand new car. lol. So now we're getting it fixed. Monique's dad is actually the one fixing it. He works for ford and does paint for a living, so he cut me a break on it. I feel better knowing the person doing the work, because I feel he's less likely to do a bad job or rip me off. He'll have my car through tomorrow. It'll be interesting to see what it looks like all fixed. I'm looking forward to it. :)
Thats all the news I have for now. My lunch break is about to be over. More later. Hope everyone is well.
