At last we have Richard Armitage back on our TV screens in Robin Hood. When I first saw pictures of him with the greasy long hair and new costume I wasn't too sure but the more I looked at them the more I liked them and when it was finally broadcast on Saturday I was drooling along with everyone else and I think he really has a Richard III look going on. As for Episode 1 - I thought it went down very well. I am very impressed by the new costume designer - an awful lot of work has gone into those costumes. Apart from Guy's ourfit, Sir Jasper's jacket and the Sheriff's jerkin were beautiful. Poor old outlaws seem to be in the same old stuff although Robin has a new jacket but still the same old trousers. The addition of David Harewood to the cast is a very positive move (except for poor Arrow Boy who is now being acted off the screen by 3 other members of the cast!!). Hope Allan goes back to the dark side - he looked so much better in leather.
When RH finished on Saturday I turned over to watch the last bit of Primeval - load of tosh but entertaining for early Saturday - and found they have a very tasty looking new 'Head of Security '- actor Ben Mansfield -, he seems to be a fairly new actor but I can see him having quite a female following among young ladies before the series is over. Check out the muscles. As he is supposed to be military he is a bit on the clean neat side but will wait and see how the series develops.
Other than that it has been mainly a family fortnight. Two of my grand-daughters and my son-in-law had birthdays and March 17th was late OH's birthday so I got phone calls from all three kids. They phone on his birthday and death anniversary and our weddiing anniversary every year. Then there was Mothers Day where I sat back and gathered in the goodies (just reward for all the chockies and sweeties I bought them when they were kids!!).
Now have lots of lovely Guy of Gisbourne screen-caps thanks to the Army Dreamers website so I can spend time sorting out some entries for the new Wallpaper Challenge on Richard_Armitage Art Challenges. - That should keep me out of mischief for a while.
