Hi, everyone!
So I have a story of my own genius for you. A long, long time ago I deleted my Riverblossom Hills by accident. Riverblossom Hills is the neighborhood that comes with Seasons, in case you don't know. But, after much playing around with various files, I managed to completely restore the 'hood. The only thing I lost was the neighborhood story; everything else is fine! And may I say that RBH has the *best* starter lots ever? So many cute little houses under 20k for my Simmies, squee!
So I toured RBH and found that I really, really loved the neighborhood and its characters and its drama. I am literally repressing the urge to write a story. I just started a new story, dammit! D: (Yeah I'm not fooling anyone, I'll probably end up writing it at some point...)
So I gave makeovers and grew attached to certain Sims. Such as Jules O'Mackey. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO JULES O'MACKEY!!!!
*cough* In any event, I have picspam and a teensy bit of storytelling, but just a set-up. Enjoy!
Jules O'Mackey didn't have the greatest life.
After all, her parents were divorced. Her mother left for a life as a pirate on the high seas when she was little. Alexandra had recently returned to Riverblossom Hills. Jules wasn't exactly sure why, but she had a feeling her mother had run into trouble.
Her father, Gabe, hadn't dated for a very, very long time. But all of a sudden he was back on the dating scene, and he wouldn't shut up about his new girlfriend, Patricia Wan.
Most kids have trouble when divorced parents inevitably start dating other people. But Jules absolutely loathed Patricia. She hated how Patricia always talked down to her, and the two didn't at all get along. Already Patricia acted like Jules's mother, always lecturing her and bossing her around despite the fact that Gabe hadn't shown her a ring yet. And Alexandra had never been so uptight from what Jules could remember.
But Jules was an inventive girl, and she was sure she had a solution. Now that her mother was back in town, why couldn't she marry Gabe again? Alexandra had let slip she would be living in Riverblossom Hills for quite some time, so it made perfect sense to Jules. After all, the only reason her parents had broken up was because her mother wanted to go off and be a pirate.
But Alexandra's answer was no. When Jules asked why, Alexandra merely said it was too complicated. Jules hated hearing that, and her visits to her mother always ended in her storming home in a huff.
But Jules's problems weren't limited to home.
Jules and Sandra Roth had never gotten along. To Jules, Sandra was a typical spoiled rich girl with no thoughts outside herself. To Sandra, Jules was simply not her type of person and easy to mock.
But stealing Jules's boyfriend? That was low, even for Sandra.
Jules had been going out with Jacob Martin until Sandra stole him from her. She'd been dumped and ridiculed and left alone once again.
But Jules didn't blame him, she blamed Sandra. She would never admit it, but she still harbored a love for him. She half-wished she could take Jacob back from Sandra, but then again...should she let him back into her heart?
And even if she did, would they ever get back what they once had?
Gabe O'Mackey's girlfriend Patricia Wan seems like an ambitous but nice woman. But does she have an ulterior motive for dating Gabe? What is she looking for?
Her roommate Cleo Shibiku has her head in the clouds, daydreaming about that cute farmer Leod McGreggor. Does she know Patricia's motives?
Ever since the death of his wife Elena, Andrew Martin hasn't been the same. She was his world. Things changed, and it's taken some time for Andrew to find his zest for life again. But he found it in designing and playing video games.
He and his son Jacob are extremely close, especially after Elena's death. They both love gaming, and play together almost every day.
While Jacob broke up with Jules, he's starting to doubt his decision. Sandra, his new girlfriend, has a personality that takes up the whole room and thrives on attention, while Jules was more reserved. But Jules would never take him back, and Sandra would never let him go...
The Roth family are rich and successful in this small town. Sandra is boisterous and speaks her mind, and often doesn't shut up. But younger son Xander is quiet but inquisitive, keeping to himself and perusing the family library. Stella and Morty are good at their jobs, but Stella's need to be surrounded by friends keeps her away from her family at times.
Jason and Rose Greenman are a rather mismatched couple. Rose is a PlantSim, a beautiful creature of nature, and Jason's head over heels.
Their daughter Daisy was born a PlantSim. But there's something Jason doesn't know about the PlantSim life cycle, something important. Rose never meant to keep it from him, but she doesn't know how to tell him, or even what to do about it.
Will they make the right choice for little Daisy?
Leod McGreggor is a farmer who recently moved to Riverblossom Hills. Unbeknownst to him, he's set some of the single ladies of the town all a-flutter. Will he even notice? He was always told he was too wrapped up in his plants to notice the world around him.

Well, that's all for now! I do so like RBH, it intrigues me! ^_^
And the QotD is trufax, Jack Bauer can go for 24 hours without sleeping or eating. And no bathroom breaks, either. Cause he's Jack Bauer, that's why.
Quote of the Day: "Most people sleep with both eyes closed. Some people are believed to sleep with one eye open. As for Jack Bauer... he doesn't sleep at all. Sleep is for the weak."
