Hahahaha, had you going, didn't I? I'm sorry, it's just picspam here. It's the tagline for Season 3 of 24, and I'm watching the last two episodes tonight, and it suited Astoria's storyline, don't you remember? Yes, that's Astoria. More on her later. The main thing here is about Joule, Demelza's second alien sproglet.
Remember early on in the Christmas Countdown, there was an atypical tacky Christmas card? It was Demelza, Pollux, and Joule as a baby. I grew her up one afternoon, but bitchgame crashed in the middle of saving, and it reverted back to .5 seconds after her birth. So it set me off playing them for awhile, but I decided I didn't want to do Legacy stuff today so I played Draco, Demelza, and their family, which, I think, is done growing.
Also look at my awesome new pikshure kwality! I'm geeking out about it.
So here we have toddler!Joule. She looks way different than Pollux, and is far different in personality as well. Except the OCD. They both have full neat points and OCD.
Call me weird, but I think aliens are adorable with their too-big eyes and too-small noses and weird faces and such. I mean, I wouldn't like it if my Legacy had wonky genes like that, but in moderation it's cute in a sort of pathetic way.
Joule is a Virgo, 10/4/10/3/8. OCD, nice as anything, and active. As opposed to her brother Pollux, who is 10/9/10/0/0. Talk about extreme.
She's named for a unit of energy I use in chemistry, a joule. It's pronounced "jule"...like Jules without the 'j'. So yeah. I thought it'd be some weird French pronunciation, but it's simple. Anyway, because of this connotation to chemistry, I've taken to dressing Joule all science-y. Like, I thought this outfit looked sort of like a lab coat. Now a chemist wouldn't wear her hair like that, unless she had a death wish for immolation via her braid acting as a fuse to her head.
She's so sweet! Look at that little smile! Unlike Pollux, when Joule smiles like that, you don't have to watch out for your impending doom or stay alert for evil world domination plots.
OH NO SCORPIA MOVE BEFORE--! Wait, actually that'd be cool. Proceed.
...
Help, police. See, I helped.
Back to Joule! Scorpia's fine, the bus stopped like an inch in front of her. It was bringing Pollux home from school, and I believe it may be linked.
And onward, Hermione's ABCs and all associates, affiliates, and child companies will be in better quality.
Joule likes story-time. ^-^ Demelza is a good mommy, she has amazingly high relationships with both Pollux and Joule, and she spun up wants to teach Joule all three of the toddler skills. I'm used to Knowledge Sim parents rolling that up, but only one or two, not all three. For this and many many other reasons, Demelza is awesome.
Blank Joule is blank.
JOULE REFUSES TO BEND TO YOUR WILL. RAAAAAWR.
...Okay, I lied. She so will. I feel like I've been getting either really mean Sims or really nice Sims lately, and nothing in between. Like Amber Dawn, with a grand total of one nice point. Then there's Inigo, aka Mr. "I'M SO NICE" and Joule, who isn't quite as nice as Inigo but close. I like having a median! *sulk*
But then again, if I only had nice Sims, I'd miss my meanies, and if I only had the mean, I'd be begging for nice. 9_9
I just think she's so cute! And Dem's adorable with her kiddies.
Anyway, other people live in this house too, dontcha know?
Such as this lovely girl. Remember her? It's Draco and Astoria's daughter Scorpia. I gave her a new outfit and a makeover and I've decided longer hair suits her greatly.
Scorpia's a Popularity Sim, for those who don't recall, and she's a Scorpio. I swear I did not manipulate her starsign in any way, shape, or form.
As a Pop Sim, who I do loathe so deeply despite Isla's non-annoyingness, Scorpia's on the phone a lot. Particularly with townies and spares' kids. She literally brought someone home every damn day. And she's so slow at doing her homework. So she'd socialize and then get started on her homework for about eleventy thousand hours.
Anyway, the point is Scorpia's met a lot of people. One of those people being Lennon, or at least clone!Lennon, who's just like real!Lennon except with very subtle differences. Regardless, when Scorpia brought Lennon home I was like "Oshit Heather would kill me" and sent him on his merry way. Unfortunately, Scorpia rolled up the want to befriend him, which I decided was harmeless enough and allowed. Then...
Let the bitchslapping commence! It seems Lennon attracts blondes like himself.
I think I'll let her, I haven't yet but her poor aspiration is suffering greatly! *tear*
Remember Astoria? I gave her a makeover and used her for Scary Red Herring/24-Referencing Introductory Photo in Better Quality. I think she looks lovely. I like Astoria, enough to change her LTW so whenever I remember, I can get her a job so she'll be platinum and no longer annoying.
Astoria keeps things stable around the house. Poor Draco. Astoria is ever the dutiful wife, fortunately. The dutiful (quite pretty akshully) wife.
Speaking of Drastoria, they've been forced into doing romantic stuff in absolute private. See, Astoria dated Dean, Draco and Demelza's dead brother, like once, and it meant nothing because he was a Romance Sim anyway. But everyone gets all pissed because Astoria's cheating on Dean. Who is dead. Who would never have married her anyway. If anyone he would have married Brooke, our Friendly Local Hobo Slob. Help please, it's so irritating to see a teenage girl spazzing out because her parents are holding hands.
Pollux is my meanest born-in-game Sim ever, but he most definitely has a soft spot for Joule. He spun up wants to play with her. I find it super-adorable when Sim kids want to play with their toddler siblings. Eileen and Berjes's son Gerard always rolled up stuff like that for his myraid of younger siblings, and the frequency of it made me decide on Family for him in the future.
I like this picture because it looks like Pollux is trying to pick Joule up. I wish kids could hold their siblings, I remember it being a big deal when my siblings were babies. I was always like "Can I hold the baby?" I also remember my sister failing to properly hold my youngest brother when he was just born. I would spazz out: "YOU'RE SCARING HIM!! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO SUPPORT THEIR NECKS!!"
...
Memory trip over now.
*brain implodes from cuteness*
Pollux and Amber Dawn are good friends, probably due to their mutual hatred of everyone in the entire universe due to lack of nice points. A match made in heaven! Well, probably hell...
Actually, it could happen. Pollux is Gen. E and A.D. is Gen. C/H, depending on what parent you consider. So it could work.
YOU'RE NEVER TOO OLD FOR TICKLES!! /new catchphrase
I played up to Joule's child birthday. In this time, Draco got permaplat, everyone got some skills, and Dem got a job in the Gamer career so she can be permaplat once she tops it.
"*gasp* Now Joule is as big as me!"
"Heh heh heh...now she will be a far better accomplice!"
Pollux, Joule is not your accomplice! Wipe that plotting grin off your face!
"You first, creator lady!"
...Touche.
I geeked Joule up a bit. Oversized glasses, uniform-like outfit, the braids (which I love). I think she's adorably geek chic.
Pollux and Joule are really different, genetics-wise. Pollux displays Demelza's features more prominently, while the only thing Joule got from Dem was her eye shape. Pollux has a nose, but Joule is lacking. I think their mouths are the same, but look different from the dissimilarities of their cheeks.
But I think they're both cute anyway. ^_^
Hope you enjoyed this cutesy little picspam and weren't too freaked out by Scary Red Herring/24 Referencing Introductory Picture with Better Quality.
Oh, and one last picture. A portait of Generation I, as promised.
It's my desktop background now! Imago's mostly blocked out by icons, though.
