Hi, everyone!
So I'm back to school. It's been a little hectic. Here's my awful story of awfulness.
I went into school and got my schedule, and it said I had a conflict. Also, I didn't have my locker lock or a check to buy my workbooks with. So I was just disorganized in general, but the check thing was my mom's fault. :P So I told the lady who gave me my textbooks I had a conflict, and she sent me down the hall to a chapel (I've been a Catholic schoolgirl since Pre-K) to wait to fix my conflict.
So I waited. And waited. And waited. Outside it went from day to night, the seasons changed, Halloween decorations went up, Christmas decorations went up, people walked by in winter uniforms, and I slowly grew a beard of Dumbledore-esque proportions.
No, but seriously, I was sitting there for like two hours. My homeroom teacher had to find me and make sure I hadn't died in the dangerous journey from the book building to the mods, which are where most of my classes are this year. The mods, or modular buildings, is like a large trailer with lockers and classrooms seperate from the main building. My homeroom and locker are in there, too. Anyway, I sat there and it threw everything out of whack. Like, I couldn't get my workbooks and I couldn't take my picture for my ID. My school's dumb and makes us wear ID tags, and our pictures are inevitably awful, like driver's licenses. Like, mine was taken when my hair was still long and scraggly, and I got my hair cut short in the middle of the year. So for the rest of the year everyone had to look at my picture and go, "WOW UR HAIR WAS LYKE LONG & STUFF!!!11" Siiiigh.
But today I managed to sort everything out. I had to go back so I could join the chorus cause the lady in charge has basically been stalking me since last year to join. I used to be in a choir with my school when I was younger, but quit when they got someone else in charge who I didn't know. But yeah. I don't think I'm that great of a singer, but apparently they want me for chorus. *shrug* Actually, I doubted myself so much that I recorded myself singing and was surprised to find I wasn't quite as bad as I thought.
My first real, full day of school is tomorrow. So I need to print out all my summer projects and such.
Yesterday I read an actually really good fanfiction. I'm not really all that into fanfic anymore, because of all the slashy pairings everyone seems obsessed with. But the one I read was called "A Series of Chemical Events" and it put MCR into the "A Series of Unfortunate Events" books, at least the first one. And it was so funny that I literally laughed in real life SEVERAL TIMES and made my family question my sanity. I used to be a big ASOUE fan, but the last book made me really really mad, since the series posed a million and two questions and the last book only posed more and answered NOTHING. So I got mad at the entire series. But the fanfic was awesome and not slashy, and written like a screenplay, and just really freakin hilarious.
Speaking of which, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MIKEY WAY!! He's MCR's bassist and my favorite, but shh. ;D He's 29 today. And now I finally have an excuse to use my userpic of him. He doesn't wear those glasses anymore, unfortunately/fortunately, take your pick. He sticks forks in toasters (okay, just once), loves coffee, sushi, and popsicles, doesn't smile much (D:), Twitters frequently, and is just awesome in general.
Also, make sure you check out Heather's journal for mine and her odd conversation about mole people, Neville/Luna, and cheezburgers. *nod* It's pretty zany, please don't throw us in the asylum.
