Why No, I'm Not Dead...
Hi, everyone!
Geez, I go on vacation and I miss everything! Gah. I have about a jillion updates to read, I've missed like three weeks of Sim Scenes, I've just been gone.
In my defense I had no Internet access, and I wouldn't be online now if our neighbor hadn't been sweet enough to let me steal her wifi. Right now I'm at my (not actually mine) lake (pond) house in New Jersey. It's a really peaceful, quiet little place with a lot of nature. I've never really considered myself a city girl, but I'm pretty sure I am. Nature is pretty and whatever, but I've tired of it quickly. I've been here two days and I've seen fish, moths, spiders, a roach, a newt, hawks, and today our neighbors spotted like four bears. We didn't see any, but they're there, man. I'm going to go for a walk and get my face ripped off.
So, where have I been? I've only been here since Wednesday. Last Friday I went to my aunt's house for a nice long visit. My aunt is awesome, she has all the EPs and all the SPs except H&M and K&B, and an awesome system. She got me into Sims in the first place. I wouldn't be here talking to you guys and I wouldn't be writing Hermione's ABCs without her. ^_^ Let me tell you, it was a relief just to be able to play without thinking about plotting. I loved being able to explore AL, FT, and all the other stuff I don't have without thinking about Harry and Bella or psychic twins or eyes or bears. But by Monday I was starting to miss my own Sims. I'm pathetic. So in my aunt's game I basically toured Strangetown and Belladonna Cove and Desiderata Valley. BTW, I totally heart Erin Singles and Natasha Una. I think they're both gorgeous and both are fun Sims to play. I'm probably so partial to Erin because she looks a lot like the Grangers with her Face Two nose. And don't go all, "Heyyy, how do YOU know she has the Face Two nose?" because that nose has been around since Gen D and WILL NOT DIE. I think I know what it looks like by now.
I made some Sims, too. A girl named Elizabeth Grey, and later I made a husband for her, Zed Davis. They had three adorable kids: Lacey, Marina, and Mortimer.
Stuff From EPs I Don't Have That I'll Miss:
-Witches. *whimper*
-Spiral staircases.
-Silent mode on phones.
-Suck Face/Dance kisses.
-Cuddle under the stars.
-Secondary aspirations and all the FT aspiration rewards.
-Natasha Una.
-Being able to move decorations up and down.
-FT expanded novel-writing.
But there are some things I definitely WON'T miss. Like the stupid M&G "salute the sun" thing. GAH. This kid was running to the schoolbus doing the stupid salute thing. JUST STOP! And I won't miss Pets at all. In one sentence is why I will NEVER buy Pets.
Me: "NO I WILL NOT BUY YOU A ^&$*@!)&? KITTY!"
Also now I can say that I ship Maxis characters. "Ship" referring to I want to see them together; it's a fanfiction term. Like, for example, I ship Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, and Neville/Luna. So now I ship Maxis characters. Like in Belladonna Cove it's Tara DeBateu/Jason Cleveland, and the Cordial sisters with their respective beaus. And in Desiderata I like Natasha Una with John Mole. They confuzzle me, though; both their bios reference each other, but at the game's start-up John's got a one-sided crush on Hannah Bell's Romance Sim sister. Meh. Too bad!
So now I have sooooooo many updates to read. OMFG, Lucy's posted her final Obsession Legacy chapter! Like, seriously, completed Alphabetacy, man! It's so exciting!!! *runs off'*
