Yesterday I went to visit a friend who lives about an hour and 15 away. She is now 4 days over due with her second son (first is 2.5). I went over for a visit, to give her a copy of the hunger games and to CLEAN HER HOUSE. Honestly I only got the living room done tip to bottom then most of the kitchen/ dining room and the laundry/ bath room downstairs.
She laughed at my efforts and said she is a minimalist cleaner.. Ha! I found Christmas balls under the couch and bake tins with frosting smeared left from Christmas as well. I intend to go back at least to
Clean their front and back entrances, as they are soooo cluttered and I know she won't get to it. There are still 2 fake Christmas trees in the front entrance that isn't used by any one but them.
I can't really afford to get her lovely gifts as I would like to (she's my
Bestie all through junior/high school, was bridesmaid in her wedding, she threw Doris baby shower). So instead I will make myself useful once baby arrives, have B watch Dori for the day while I go total her house (and prep meals for freezer). She didn't seen offended at all and i truly hoped she wouldn't because I just want to help in any way I can.I remember those first few Weeks being full of stress about napping when I should be cleaning or cooking.
I came home and organized my bedroom and Dori's too, donating anything we don't wear or want. I will keep up with this thru the rainy week and maybe when the sun comes out there won't be much to do
