(no subject)
Well folks, I just had my virginal ride on Dad's Harley. I was freaking out at first, but after 10 mins it was alright. Arse is sore though, and because of my throat, I was coughing like a mofo when I got off.
Oh yeah, in case anyone cared, I've been sick for the last week or so. Bronchitis. All is finally on the mend now, although I'm getting quite sick of phlegm and how it seems to love the back of my throat at the mo.
Things of mild importance:
Uni? Is awesome. On my first day back from sickness, I was dreading it at first, thinking I wasn't gonna be able to catch up, and I was just not in the mood for 8 hours of talking and so on. But it was actually a really good day! We talked about our assignments, shared our experiences of court visits (I went to the Mental Health Review Board), and 2 girls from a Juvenile Detention Centre came on their release day to talk to us abotu what it's like 'inside'. Very informative, if a little scary.
Australia's first V festival kicks off today in Sydney. I'm going tomorrow on the Gold Coast, rocking out with the likes of Pixies, The Rapture, Pet Shop Boys, Jarvis Cocker, Beck, New Yong Pony Club, Gnarls Barkley, New York Dolls and a host of others I haven't heard of before but am sure are really good too. Nice work, Mr Branson. Although try to make this a really, really big festival next time, yeah? Like, similar to the UK version.
Anyway, I have to get back to readings. I have to do a small talk to the class about Week 6's readings on Thursday so I may as well get it all over and done with before I write myself off tomorrow.
