My new toy
After weeks of research, I finally bought me a digital SLR camera. :) After talking to other dSLR owners, and researching online, I decided on the Canon Digital Rebel XSi. It was hard to decide between a Nikon and a Canon. I also looked at other brands since some are quite a bit cheaper. But the reviews on the other cameras weren't as good as Nikon and Canon ones. I ultimately decided on Canon because I've had two Canon point-and-shoot digital cameras, and they take great pictures. The XSi had the most attractive features and a reasonable price point. It's still a big splurge and Johnny says I'd better take lots of good pictures with it. :p It's my first SLR camera and all the functions are overwhelming. So I'll need to play around with it and learn how to use it. We're going to Panama City next week, and that'll be a great opportunity for me to practice.
Yea! Can't wait to go to Panama City next week. We've rented a 4-bedroom house on the beach with a bunch of our friends. It's going to be fun and noisy, since there will be 4 little ones. :) After this weekend, I'll either not want to have kids or really want one. Haha... Anyway, I'm looking forward to the trip. It's only 3 days, but at least it'll be on the beach, away from work. It's probably going to be my last vacation of the year. My Director and Manager are both going on maternity leave around end of this year. And the next couple of months are the busiest for us. While they're out, my coworker and I will be busy covering for them. I'm looking forward to doing more events, though.
Oh, and my other coworker just got engaged while on vacation with her boyfriend! Such happy news. :) So out of the 4 of us in our department, I'm the boring one. :p Someone keeps joking that she's going to start a rumor about me since I'm the only one not stirring anything up. Haha!
I'm going to see Les Miserables tomorrow night. I'm so looking forward to it. I absolutely loved it when I saw it in New York last year. This is not an official Broadway tour, but most of the cast have appeared on Broadway in the show, so it should still be pretty good. Can't wait! Other than that, gotta work all weekend since I'm out of town next week. :/
