I don't ask for help, but I will take it if it's offered.

I've been talking to more of my classmates which is pretty cool. In my chem activity class (Working on chem problems for 3 hours with other people) we work in different groups every time we meet just so we can meet new people. And I was in a group with Nih and Betty. They were talking to eachother since they were both girls and I was just quiet in the corner only talking to them if they got the same answer. But somehow we ended up talking about what majors we were and what we were going to do with them. Betty is basically on the same path as I am. And its always cool to talk to someone in the same college/career pathway as you. And I was surprised from the stories she had. Like I always knew people donated to universities, and I have heard rumors that they get special treatment from the universities. Apparently this is the case in medical schools too. She was telling me her uncle is a USC alumni, and him and his wife donate 20,000 (each) annually to the school. And their 8 children all graduated or still going to USC. Of course they didn't get in simply because their parents donate money, but she said donations do make a difference. And that some people she knows had an upper hand simply because their parents were doctors and they are currently donating money to the medical department at their universities (just like her uncle...he donates his money in the medical department of USC). Of course I was a bit skeptical about her story, but Nih knew several people with the similar story. After hearing this, the things I was told in the past started to make sense to me.
Several people I talk to always asked me, "are your parents doctors?" and I would say no. And they would give me those wtf? looks,. And one of the people who asked me the question just told me, well you don't have the advantages of kids whos parents are doctors, so you just have to study harder than they do. Of course what he said and the story I heard today could have nothing to do with eachother. But it still made me think.
We talked about dorming and moving out etc. And they were like, I want an apartment with just bio major students. So we can have study sessions every night. I was like, wow, thats a freaking great idea. I need to find a study group for chem and bio, I know some people are doing that already. They meet up once/twice a week just to study.

I need to clean my room. Its so messy and dusty. I think thats why I have been coughing so much.
I meet many people who are doing less than I am, but i also meet people who are doing so much more than me. I am glad to meet both, because when I see people who are not doing less stuff I am doing, then I know I am not COMPLETELY screwed. And when I see people who are doing more, it motivates me do do even more.
I joined SHPA, and I think I am going to join Flying Samaritans at Cal State Fullerton next month. I wanted to get used to my classes for a month, and see if I can fit that in my schedule. Basically, flying samaitans is teamed up with UCR, and they go down to Mexico once a month and provide health care. I'm willing to give up one saturday a month to do that. Its a noble cause, and it does fit my interests. And I never been to Mexico either. But yeah, I am hoping everything works out for that. I mean two people from the internship is in this program, and a friend in my bio class is doing it too.

I have big things stored for this year. I am pumped! For sure, its going to be tough, but I am sure it will turn out for the best.
