Mao’s giggle sounded like bells ringing as they filled the apartment. The giggles quickly escalated into hysterical laughter. She could barely sit up straight from her position on the head of the bed. Somewhere between her conversation with her best friend and her fits of laughter, Mao had let go of the cordless phone. The phone, which was still connected to her best friend, was lying somewhere on the bed. Mao regained as much composure as she could before picking up the phone again.
“I’m sorry but that was just so hilarious.” She said to her girlfriend while wiping tears from her eyes.
“I have to admit that the rumour with Mrs. Kaga is funny; if not totally ridiculous.” Her best friend, Hina, said, “but what about the way he’s been acting with Aragaki?”
“What about it?”
“Aren’t you even just a little worried?”
Mao didn’t even have to think about her answer.
“Not at all.”
“What makes you so confidence?”
Mao smiled to no one in particular; after all she was all alone in his room.
“First of all, he could never do anything like that to me and secondly I would know right away.” Mao laid down on the bed, with his pillow under her head.
“Oh? Is Shun your spy?”
Mao laughed again. There was that fact; Shun would report anything fishy that would happen on set even if she didn’t ask him to but wouldn’t that be a sign of lack of communication between the lovers?
“This is strictly between Jun and I.”
“Hurry up and spill! What’s your secret?”
“If I told you it wouldn’t be a secret.” Mao retorted jokingly.
“Fine, Mao. Anyways I have to go. Have fun with your boyfriend.”
The two friends hung up. Mao threw her phone on the night stand without getting up. She took a deep breathe, breathing in the scent of him and his cologne. She felt so comfortable. There was no need to worry at all. Not only did she trust Jun; all she, or anyone else, had to do was to look into his eyes to know that he was so deeply in love with her. It did not matter how good of an actor Jun was, he could never lie to Mao; it would show in his beautiful, perfectly shaped, light brown eyes. Before she knew it she fell into a peaceful but dreamless sleep.
Mao did not know how long she was sleeping before she was wakened by a soft warm kiss on the forehead.
“Jun.” She automatically said without opening her eyes.
Jun smiled. He had come home after having filmed long scenes for his drama, to find an angel on his bed. Her sleeping face was so irresistible that he had to touch her. He looked down at her; her eyes were open now but still hazy with sleep.
“Welcome home.” Mao said and pulled him down into a hug. Jun was home, not because he was in his apartment but because he was finally with her. He could spend forever just the way he was now. She was so warm and so soft and everything about her just felt…right. That was the best he could describe it; being with her was right. Mao finally released him from the hug and he reluctantly let go. Mao stretched her arms again only to get rid of the kinks from sleeping too long in one position. When she was done she clapsed her hands on either sides of Jun’s cheeks and squished them together.
“What?” Jun managed to say through his constricted mouth. Mao took this chance to clearly look into his eyes. They were bright with humour but there was also a mix of confusion which was brought on by Mao’s weird gesture. She wanted to laugh at the face she had made but she had a more important question in mind.
“Is there anything between you and Aragaki?”
Jun scowled and brushed Mao’s hands off. He sat up properly before pulling her into a sitting position. He looked directly into Mao’s eyes.
“That’s a stupid question; of course not.” He stated. he was only playing nice with his co star. Mao and Jun had too many close calls with the media. Although there were no pictures, especially from stupid magazines like Friday, he was still worried about being exposed. Not becasue he's ashamed of being caught with Mao, oh god no. He was scared of what the company would do. Above everything else he didn't want to lose Mao. He scowled for that reason and because it really was a stupid question. He didn't need anyone else but Mao.She gave him a shy smile before putting her head on his shoulder.
“That was a stupid question, huh?” Mao said. "Don't be angry." She pouted. She couldn’t look up at him anymore; she wanted to hide her happy blushing face. She didn’t know why she asked when she already knew the answer but there was nothing wrong for her to get a verbal confirmation from Jun. She started to draw patterns on his chest with her finger.
Jun looked down at Mao. Although he couldn’t see her face, he knew she looked really adorable right about now; with the slightest pink colouration in her cheeks. She was his everything and he felt so insanely lucky to have her all to himself.
“Any more questions?” He said after a while. Mao shook his head, still not looking up at him.
“I need to go take a shower now.” He told Mao. She was reluctant to leave her place but she sat upright anyways.
“Just one more thing.” She said desperately no really wanting to leave her even for a second. Jun stilled.
“I love you.” Mao blurted. Jun took a moment to let her words sink in. He felt so happy that he didn’t know what to do with himself. Not to mention he probably had the stupidest grin on his face right now. He gently held her face in his hands
“You little devil, how am I supposed to leave you after something like that?” Jun exclaimed. Mao bit her lips to keep her from grinning. That did the trick. Jun’s expression became serious.
“I love you too.” He said before giving her a kiss. “More than you’ll ever know.”
Author's Note: 1)I realized that there isn't much plot to this one shot XD sorry! However, I did think that it would be interesting to get Mao's take on the rumours. Seriously, I don't think there really is anything to worry about. I bet it's actually a facade to take the attention away from Mao. Better for fangirls to worry over something that is fictional than what's real LOL XD
2) the title of the Fic is taken from Destiny's Child's song Brown Eyes (very nice song )
