Suprise Going-Away Party!
Homigod! Yesterday was SO FUN! I had no idea my friends cared so much! ;_; *weeps*
Just as I was about to leave home from work, Devin called me and asked me what I was doing. When I said that I was going to Young's, he was all, "aww, you suck!" and I asked why. Apparently, they had been planning this surprise going-away party for a while now, and they had relied on Frodo to tell me about it, subtley, eventually... but he never did at all, so it was a big surprise when I did find out. I basically just floated through work (up until the end of the day, because I always become grouchy afterwards).
When we got there, Aaron and Frodo were at the nearby Esso buying Pepsi and they told me, you're gonna love your cake, it says the most RANDOM thing in Tagalog (Filipino).
Anyway, I was so happy when I got inside. Devin's girlfriend, the lovely Shannon, gave me a cooler, and then I found out that someone had bought absinthe for the party. I was freaking out. (In a good way.) It even came with the special spoon. After watching From Hell and Moulin Rogue!, I was super eager to have my first taste of the green fairy. She tasted like licorice. ^o^;; I couldn't handle it all, it was too strong; so they gave me half a shot mixed with water and sugar. Yummy! It burned my lips, though!! :O Yaozah!
Afterwards, we took the cake out and I just read it and cracked up. It said, Pasko sa Pilipinas, puta!, which was very random as Aaron promised. It meant, "Christmas in the Philippines, bitch!" I asked what that was about, and Devin said that it was because they weren't sure if they were going to be seeing me this Christmas in case the plans of me going to school in Manilla get the go-ahead sooner than we'd expected. I even saw the candles that they put on it -- 26?. When I asked, Dev said it was beecause I'm leaving on the 26th, and the question mark because they didn't know when I was coming back.
Honestly, I was so touched. Not only did my friends throw me a party, which was more than my other friends (*cough*) have ever done for me, but they even remembered the little details I'd thrown out. I'm just so used to being the motherly one who remembers everything someone says, to be the one giving out the instructions and directions, and being taken for granted when it comes to the group -- it just felt so nice to know that it wasn't true. I would get teary right here but I found out that 60% of my brain operates like a male's, so, that won't be happening. XD;; [/random]
The cake was so good! Maybe because I was drunk. I don't usually like sponge cake but it was hella good. Shannon picked it out, and she made sure there was purple and pink icing on it, and I kept the plastic party hat and the orange-and-silver flower on it. I'm so keeping them forever. *le sigh* I forgot to mention but she even had balloons all over the place! I ended up taking two home. So awesome!
We all ran to the park several times during the night to smoke up, and Frodo kept on making moves on me because he hasn't been able to stop thinking about me either since last Sunday. *happy sigh*
And thanks to Aaron for being a sport and staying at the apartment to wait for the food delivery. That chicken was SO DAMN GOOD. But that's probably because I was drunk. Why does everything taste better when you're drunk and high? Hahaha!

Biology trivia: Asians turn red when they drink because they don't possess the same genes that help break alcohol down as fast as most Caucasians do. This was after the absinthe.

Afterwards, Frodo, Patrick and I had to leave, seeing as it was almost 3 AM. We stayed up until 6 in the morning after we got to my place. Guess what we did?!
