Re-evaluting ideas

I'm thinking maybe I should scrap the zombie restaurant idea. When I first came up with it I didn't know I was going to be sorta-dad to four kids in addition to the biological kids I'm going to have

"Would you enjoy having the restaurant, love?"

I probably would. I don't know how good I'd be at running anything.

"You would not be the first man to raise a prosperous family and have a business both, dear husband. You would not even be the first man to hold a business and be a good father."

"And we want you to be happy. If you'd be happier pursuing this, we'll do everything we can to help you.

"But if you're too scared to try, just say so. Don't use our children as an excuse."

I'm not scared to try. Even if I suck at it, I'd just be sucking at running a restaurant, you know? It just seems like kids should be a higher priority than this idea that started as a joke.

"Of course they should be. But that doesn't mean you can't have both."

Would it be fair of me to put that much time and effort into a side project?

"How could it be otherwise?"

*He shrugs.* I'm not used to having the opportunity for that.

"You can do whatever you want. Open it, don't, I don't really care anymore. It can be filed away as another time you didn't follow through."
