[the place is silent, save for the slight creaking of a bed as Gintoki sits up slowly, and a hiss of pain is audible as his wounds are aggvarated. A pause, and then fumbling as the communicator is taken from its place and the man speaks.]
...well. I don't really know where to begin, really. Everything happened so fast - one moment I was just fighting Hitsugaya-kun and then the next... I...

I'm really sorry. I apologize for everything that I - it - did while it was in control. I lost to the demon inside me - I gave in to its call as I was inches away from death even though I wanted to die. If I had not been so weak... had not given in... none of this would have happened. I... I know anything I say or do now won't change anything, but I am really, truly sorry. Most of all to Okita... Zura... and you, Hiji --- Oogushi-kun. I'm so sorry that I've hurt you all like this... Okita, I know that I can never do anything to heal the wound that came with Ukitake's de--- murder, but I am willing to do anything to make up for it, even if I should have to die for it.
Zura, I apologize again for having hit you so many times on the head. Get loads of rest and heal up all those wounds, because you'll need it. And... don't got wondering about the forest again, alright?
And... Oogushi-kun... I... I...

I... where are you? I'll be coming over to visit you when I can, and have a few words while we're at it.
As for everyone else who got injured, I am... really very sorry. I can only hope that you all will forgive me. If not... I still apologize for my - its - actions. I can't really say anything else, except that I hope you all will heal up soon and recover from this incident.
[OOC: So, Gintoki has been healed up by Sakura and brought back to his own room again after some arguments with the ninja. He's pretty much bedridden, with one deep gash in his midsection, two plunges through his gut (and one clean through his body) and several other injuries, mostly rather major. So yeah, he's pretty much stuck in bed and can hardly move a muscle. Also, you can all just assume your pups have been dragged off the battlefield and got themselves some doctors as well.]
