[sounds of shuffling, some scraping and ruffling as the screen flickers to reveal a pretty messed up room. JUMP is strewn everywhere, mayonnaise bottles lining up the windowsills (due to the rabbits) and one could see lots of indents on the walls and furniture if looking hard enough. Footsteps approach and Gintoki appears on the screen, tapping the surface and muttering somethings to himself]
[mumbles] Well... looks like this is working... [turns and sits in front of the recorder, just enough to see his upper body. The silver-haired man stares at the screen for a while before glancing sideways, scratching the side of his neck as a bit of red stains his cheeks. Gintoki coughs conspicously before turning back to the recorder, scratching his head as he speaks.]
So, uh - yeah... by the time you're watching this, Oogushi-kun, I'd have most likely be already gone to settle some issues with the shinigami... [pauses to glance sideways for a moment, seemingly towards his bed before turning back again.] I dunno what's gonna happen; but I have a bad feeling about it. Something that I don't want to happen might happen there, but I don't want it to happen, yet I think it'll happen... possibly. Kinda likely, seeing what I just pitted myself against... [sighs at this point, one hand coming to ruffle his perm and mumbling out the last bit] ...I guess whatever the case, that is something that will happen eventually...
W-what I want to say is that, uh... I never really dared to say this to you outright, but I... re-really like you. [pauses then, cheeks flushing a full red beofre the man coughs again and contiunes.] To be honest, I hated you in the beginning - you attacked me for no reason in the inn, came charging at me in the middle of my work and you mainly annoyed me, seriously. But as the time passed... I just saw that we had a lot in common; you were a ronin, so was I, in a sense. You know what its like to lose everything close to you, just as I when I was a child. ...we never dared to outright admit that we cared those close to us, but our actions made it obvious enough. You're... a pretty good kisser actually, yanno. [stops at this point, and Gintoki looks at the screen as the words hang.] I... I just... found myself, I dunno, attracted to you I guess...
[one hand comes to scratch his head in fustration as Gintoki glances to the side once more, blushing visibly before he looks back up and speaks.] What I really wanna say is that... [stops to bite his lip with anxiety before relaxing and speaking it out.]
...I... [pauses, and then sighs]
I love you, Hijikata Toshirou.
I'm hopelessly in love with you.
[face falters as the man takes in a deep breath] And ever since... that time at the beach, it's just even more promient than ever. [his expression falls as Gintoki lowers his head, silver hair falling to shield his eyes] ...and that's why I'm scared now, really. If what I think happens does happen... you'll be in great danger, Toshi-chan. Some...thing will be after your life - and it won't stopped until its dead or you're dead; and even then, it'll just contiune to kill more innocent people. [fists then clench tightly as Gintoki breath hitches slightly] B-because of that, I don't want Hijikata-kun to get injuried because of me... I don't want the people who I love to die before my eyes again. T-that's why...
[a pause as a quiet sob comes before Gintoki looks up, and one can see his eyes now bleary with restrained tears.] ...I decided to say this to you first... before... in case anything happens to me later. No matter what, you'll always be in my heart and soul, Hijikata. Always. Even if I forget everything else, I'll never forget you.
[the man then gets up from where he's sitting, and walks towards the recorder. All one can see is the aqua prints of the sleeves of his yukata before the screen flickers and shuts down to a black void once again.]
[OOC: And after this oddball love declaration from Gintoki, he has went to face Hitsugaya, thus intiating the EPIC BANKAI fight - and following that, the hollowificaton of Gintoki plus the showdown between him and Ukitake... remember, the event will start on 5th April, 1AM GMT+8 hours.
