CHANGE OF PLANS.
Tomorrow is the college program orientation, and I haven't heard anything on my student loan appeal. They said it can take 4-6 weeks, which is terrible since my orientation is, like I said, tomorrow. I talked to the financial aid person there, and she said that the college has financing available, but of course it requires you to pay off the entire tuition over 6 or 12 months, beginning the first day of the course, whereas student loans you don't even have to start paying until you're graduated.
Full Amount of tuition: $9748
6 months, with interest: $10,200, $1600/month (assuming no loan)
12 months, with interest: $ 10,700, $890/month (assuming no loan)
6 months, with interest: $2210, $368/month (with full $8000 student loan, leaving $1748)
$8000 is the highest quantity of student loan a single person living on their own with no dependant can get for a 27 week course.
It's looking like by 5:30pm today, I will no longer be looking forward to college, but instead will be hitting the job trail.
