I got rollerblades! Okay, so maybe that wasn't the wisest $60 I've ever spent, but you know, if the government is going to give me money, I'm going to use it to buy something I couldn't otherwise afford... like the giant box of local produce I bought yesterday ($15), and today the rollerblades ($60).
I did, however, overlook one key thing- I don't actually know how to rollerblade.
So, I'm thinking that I'll have to practice on my patio- how handy is that! I'll need to learn to start (check!), go forward (partial-check!), turn (not even close), and stop (OH DEAR GOD!).
Also, it turns out rollerblading requires muscles that are not used in my day to day life (like the terrified tightening of every muscle in my body).
I know what I'm doing this weekend!
-----------
Today's main activity was a major realtor event that I was in charge of marketing for. It was a Ryder Lake tour of four million-dollar homes. I prepared a MEAN flyer for people to email and photocopy around. It's fun to have a new and different project to work on. I also got to photograph the home that was listed by my mom, and I KNOW they turned out awesome. If there've ever been homes to photograph, it's the ones over a million dollars. I'm talking 18" tiles, massive baseboards and grown mouldings, 180 degree views from the deck, an all-tile walk-in shower, a bathroom that's the same size as my bedroom, a gym with rubber floors and an 8 person sauna... quality, planning, and precision every where you look! I can't wait to see how the pictures turned out... I might share a few if I get around to it.

I'm in full swing as far as laundry goes... I'm just about done the loads that I was putting off- I just have my 'blue' load and a load of towels to do. All the bedding, lights, and darks are done. I think this might be the first time in years that I've worn an entirely different outfit every day, right down to the pants/capris/skirts. Pretty awesome!

I'm LOVING this weather. The dogs and I are getting lots of exercise walking around the neighbourhood after work in the sunshine. I have no hopes for a tan because the only summer I got tanned was the one where I worked outside for 7 hours a day for weeks, but the vitamin D and general exercise sure makes me feel better.
