All-encompassing post

I'm trying to find a way to share an audio clip with you... I'd like to embed it in the way that youtube lets you embed video, but youtube doesn't like mp3s. I will have to find a plan B so I can share it with you tomorrow (it's on my work computer, and I'm home for the day). It was featured on the Beat 94.5FM on friday (Feb 22/08) during the Kid Carson show, and I asked them for it... so they sent me the file. You'll be impressed- I know I was!

This tooth pain is driving me insane. I told my mom and brother about it at lunch, and they said that the awful pain and swelling is completely normal for wisdom teeth, and that it'll probably happen repeatedly until I'm 40 when the dentist will finally remove them. I'm only having problems with the one, but it's bad enough that I can't chew anything on that side of my mouth, so everything takes longer to eat. By the time I finished my toast this morning, it wasn't even warm anymore :( Plus, it's hard to get the area comfortable enough so I can sleep. Hopefully it'll pass soon. In the meantime, do any of you have pain-solutions for this kind of thing?

I hate taxes. I hate that the government taxes us on our income, and then taxes us again when we spend it. I hate income tax, property tax, provincial sales tax (PST), goods and services tax (GST)... it's amazing anyone has money left over with the government getting us both coming and going. I just want to keep my money! *pout*

I get to go take listing photos tomorrow of a house that has guinea pigs! Remaining professional might be a challenge! I do love the little ones. I was thinking the other day about how human life and animal life are equal to me, and if I had the choice, I'd give my life for my dogs... but then I wondered, would that be the humane thing to do? My dogs love me as much as I love them, and how painful for them it would be if I wasn't here! Ah, the predicaments of life! Hopefully I won't have to face that choice in reality. Preferably, we'll all live happily together. Today I put my arm in the guinea pig cages, and they came over and sniffed me instead of hiding. I think after the two months I've had them (or 6 weeks, in the babies' case) they're finally coming around. Hannah is still the shyest, but even she'll eat from my hand if I'm patient with her. Her colouring is more beautiful than ever, especially in the natural light by the window. Everyone has such shiny coats too- it makes me beam to see how healthy and lively they are.

I have some large-ish canvas left that I'm planning on painting sometime soon. My plan is a depiction of women and animals... that's all I'll say for now! I really want it to turn out well, so I'll probably spend almost as much time on this one as the one I did for Andria last summer. Gotta feed that creative fire!

Oh, and I posted pictures to curvygirls, so if you're a member, go check them out. The ladies over there seem to be quite fond of them. I thought it was about time, since I hadn't posted there since December when I got photographed out trying to get a great shot for the calendar. Speaking of which, what happened to that calendar? Are we post-poning 'til next year since it's basically March already?

I saw Angel's half-sisters today when I was out with mom. It's so cute- the owners are two elderly sisters, and about 7 years ago they bought two sister shih-tzus from the same woman (and same female shih tzu) that we got Angel from a year before that. Can you believe Angel and Scruffy are going to be eight this year? Wow. I still remember just weeks after I got the dogs, I went for a walk with them in my new winter jacket, and sprained my ankle when I fell on the ice. I had to walk in crutches for a week, and everyone in middle school wanted to use them. Crutches, for some reason, were cool.

Anyway, this is getting to be a long rambley post, so I'm going to sign off. Plus, Colbert will be on sometime soon. Speaking of, I was grocery shopping the other day while wearing my Colbert Nation Rise shirt, and someone who worked at the store saw it and said they loved it and were big fans of Stephen Colbert too. I think deep down, everyone is... even if they don't know who he is yet. They say humans innately want something to worship... some worship a God, and others, like me, worship Stephen Colbert.
