I've started reading "Women Who Run With The Wolves", which I KNOW is going to be a fabulous book. I've only read the intro so far, but just reading the title gives you a surge of energy and excitement from the soul. It's the same feeling of getting into water with playful dolphins, of spending time solitary at the edge of a dock at the lake, of hiking where the only sounds are those of other creatures. I can't wait to get fully immersed in it.
I'm still feeling the weight off my shoulders of never having another road test. Who knew?
Also, the increase of dry mild weather, and consequent increase in exercise (generally 30-45 minutes a day) is resulting in a lifted mood. Love it :)
I did something difficult today. I was at Animal House getting bulk Guinea Pig food (you can get a big bag of it for just a couple bucks!), and they had a big guinea pig boar on for 1/2 price, $12. I thought to myself, what's twelve dollars? I could afford that... but then there's food. And then I remembered that the more animals I buy from the pet store, the more demand there is for them to order more to replace them, and there are already tons of guinea pigs who are being dropped off at shelters after their owners tire of them. Plus, I already have 4 guinea pigs, and there is no guarantee that my current two males would get along with a new, larger pig. They also had some young pigs about the same age as my babies (5ish weeks), and one looked just like my little Chazzamarazz- all white with cowlicks. Also in the same cage was an orange and white one, and a beautiful silver-grey. Interestingly, there were 6 or more guinea pigs in the pet store in total, and all were male.
Speaking of guinea pigs, I have more pictures to share with you... but there's like 150 of them to go through. Soon!
