Yeah so like always on days or mornings of shows I wake up @ god awful times. This morning it was 2….luckily we’re leaving @ 4:30…so I don’t have to wait like 3 hrs. I’m not nervous, more anxious something will go wrong, but nothing ever does.
Sorry I haven’t updated this in a while…I guess not much to say. Fritz has settled in well @ Bluestone and so far its worked out for the best part as far as I could tell. Annie told us she has another boarder for Fritz’s stall, so if Susan (owner of Bluestone) says OK, Fritz will stay. I’ve been riding him lots lately, really getting him ready for the 3phase. Adri has helped a lot too, just giving me tips and suggestions that really help. I love her latest one, about jumping bigger new jumps. “Pretend it’ll be the end of your life if you don’t make him get over it” Surprisingly it worked and for the first time the other day we jumped the big log pile made out of the fire-wood that they use for the Hunter Trials. Personally I liked Blusetone. I like the location, the people, and the barn itself. The location is great, but I’d rather have the two horses together L I also have been riding Madison a lot, who has been making steady progress. He can go out alone now, and not have a conniption fit and freak out. I think I’m going to take him to the June Horse Trials w/ Fritz and do something w/ both of them!
Scary Fall - Not off Fritz, and I didn’t get hurt. I was riding this horse @ Bluestone named Amadeus and we went to the hunt course, with Adri on foot and my mom riding Amadeus. I got on him and he hadn’t been ridden for 6 months so I was kinda nervous but he was fine. We did lots of dressage stuff, just seeing what he could do. He’s really old, and prolly wasn’t asked to come round for a good year or so. He was really really good so I took him for a nice gallop around the course and he was fine, came right back to me…really good boy. The second time around the field he spooked at something, took off, bucked, spun, deposited me, landed on my shoulder with one of his feet, and ran all the way back to the barn. I was flipping out because my mother and Fritz were nowhere to be seen, and I didn’t know where this horse had gone. Also, since the horse wasn’t mine and he has to cross a street, I got very worried. Me and Adri sprinted back to the barn and Amadeus was there chowing down on grass, very pleased with himself. Now tha I think about it I wish I could have gotten back on the horse, but my shoulder was killing me. It didn’t start to bruise up till the next day. I knew it was a hard fall because I like NEVER bruise (visibly) because of my skin color. This bruise was like purple and red and all yucky. It’s a lot better now though, and I could have been off a lot worse!
Semi Formal 0’5 - Awesome Semi this yr. All the people came including Alla and Lauren who we missed last year! We all had lots of fun. The day before, me Kristen and Grace got our nails done and of course had a girls chats J I had never gotten a pedicure (pedigree J) before that, but it was really nice. I liked the chairs you get to sit in! Lots of fun times. After the nails we went to Big Dipper and split a Sunday which was Oh So Yummy. On Friday, my half sister came over. I hadn’t seen her for like ages, and that was also fun. Around 5ish, Grace came and straightened my hair for the semi. Gorgeus Job of course. We had an awesome time taking pix, having “technical difficulties” and so much more! Kristen came around 6:30 and we put the finishing touches on and headed out the door! The entire group was at the Semi including CONNER! We had an awesome time dancing away and stuff, and it was just a gr8 time. We got another group pix…not very good though seeing how as everybody is looking in dif. Directions. Me + Grace had fun dancing to YEAH and Ted and I pulled off an awesome trick on Grace! Grace’s dress was really pretty and kind of like….orange? or pinkish with like white strips. Jon wore a jacket!! Alla wore this really pretty purple dress which I really liked. I liked everyone’s dresses. Lauren wore this like yellowish mixed layered dress and Mary wore a really pretty white dress. Um….BK WASN’T THERE L All the guys kinda looked the same except Jon wore a suit and a blue shirt. Kristen wore a really pretty flower patterned dress and I wore another purple dress picked out by Kristen. So I def. Think last yr was better, but this was still great! No drama, just a fun time!
Saturday - Spent the morning with Adri planning and getting stuff ready for the event. She came over and we made sandwiches and checklists because god knows somebody will forget something! Around noon-ish I went to Bluestone and cleaned stalls. Adri showed up soon and clipped Fritz’s ears and trimmed him up. She makes him look soo pretty J Around 3ish, Casey (who lives at Blustone) came down and we went to the Hunt Course together for my lesson. We also ran into Lori on Kali and Elizabeth on Chase at the course. It was lots of fun. Lorette was really good. I had a light but good lesson. We worked on pony face not charging to the fences, he did at first, but then started listening to the constant half-halts I was giving him. After the lesson I gave him a needed bath and washing his socks, mane, and tail. He looked very spiffy after I was done. That night Keisha and Adri came over. Keisha, whose dad drives a stinking Porsches is going to be my groom for 2morrow which is awesome. We had a fun time getting ready.
So I think that bring you up to speed on everything….I think lol. So now I have about another hour or so to waste before we start to get and early start for the 3phase! I’ll talk to you guys later. I’ll be sure to update this with results from the 3 phase.
