Camping Plot - Stuck

See-More screamed like a girl as they all fell into the next dimension -- he screamed like a manly girl, mind you. By the time they all head reached land, See-More tumbled down a small hill and hit the ground hard. When he sat up, groaning in pain, he glanced around to see where he was. He was only able to see his surroundings for a few seconds. ( Read more... )

Taban had managed his dignity after falling into another dimension, and had merely attempted to roll with the fall, lessening damage. Despite this, his suit was quite damaged, and overall his appearance was unsatisfactory in the extreme. As of this moment, Disrupter was a dead man. He dared do this to Taban MacDougal? If he was lucky he'd have a bullet in his head, but Taban was thinking more the lines of being hung, drawn, and quartered.

Brushing himself off he grimaced. His powers were not in effect, he was in a bad situation, and would need someone who knew survival techniques better than himself. As luck would have it, one happened to be shouting out. Moving carefully, Taban scowled at the state of his suit. It was quite tattered and ruined. Luckily enough, he had very little damage to him, but it certainly wasn't pleasant.

"Greetings, I am not aquianted with you as such, but due to the circumstances, I'll make this quicker. My name is Taban, and I was caught in the crossfires at the bank with Disrupter." Taban said with a very calm look on his face. Panic did not suit him well, and would not be at all useful. He quickly judged the scenario, he was far off from any urban centre, he had limited resources, and he was with a great deal of powerless good-doers. Well, the first course of action was to create shelter of sorts. Without proper shelter the night would become difficult, or so he had read. After that, they would have to attempt to gather their forces. Then they could organize themselves.

*Well hey, Beast Boy could totally do survival stuff! No, really, he could. But right now he was a little focused on other things, like finding his friends - and hello, new person.*

Oh, uh, hi dude! You okay? *He glanced over the other boy for any obvious injuries :O But it looked like the only damage was to his threads, thankfully.*

His lip twitched slightly at the use of the slang term *dude* but he would manage. He put on his normal dead pan face before beginning speaking. "I'm quite fine, thank you for asking. Might I have the pleasure of your name as well?" he asked politely. He may be in the middle of nowhere, but manners were manners, and if you lost your civility, where were you? No doubt this one would have friends, and although Taban would prefer the company of the HIVE, the more numbers he had the better off he would be. He hardly recognized him, but from the files he had taken from the Brotherhood of Evil, the costume indicated he was Beast Boy. He had seen him at the Bank, but it was rather odd to see someone who had been green turn into a human again. Sadly he was involved now, and would offer whatever services he could in order to defeat Disrupter. After Disrupter was defeated, he would have his revenge, and make him regret his actions.

Okay, duh, right - I'm Beast Boy, one of the Teen Titans *he posed, but it lacked his usual exuberance. Matters certainly weren't helped by the scuffed, muddy, and grass-stained state of his uniform, although the black portions hid the dirt pretty well.*

The other Titans should be around here somewhere, so dude, just stick with me! We'll find 'em and then find a way outta here. No problem for heroes like me! *He held up his hand in a victory sign and grinned a reassuringly bright grin.*

It was a great feat that Taban managed not to preach to Beast Boy why "dude" was not a term to be used, but it took a great effort. He brushed aside a few pieces of hair that had become a tangled mess in his own face before speaking again.

"So, I assume your plan is to regroup with the others, establish a base of operations, then begin searching for a way to exit this place?" Taban asked calmly. It was more of a suggestion then anything else, but if he felt like taking control, that was fine too.

Taban took out his phone, knowing it wouldn't be damaged. He grimanced as he received the error signal, advanced technology wouldn't be a great help in this place apparently. His gun might prove useful, but with limited ammunition it was best to allow that to remain hidden.

Fortunately for those two, Terra, with See-More and Ophelia tagging along, was on her way to running in with them. In fact, once she got within sight of that familiar spandex, she herself started running, hoping to envelop him in a hug when she got there.

Apparently she hadn't noticed details all that closely, though, because when she got there and saw that Beast Boy was decidedly not green, she skidded to a halt and raised an eyebrow in confusion. "...Beast Boy?"

See-More made a point in not staying too close by Terra's side, and stick close to Ophelia. You know, with the boyfriend around and all. If he suspected a thing, he had an immediate, and very obvious, advantage over See-More.

"So, I'm assuming people are still alive?" he asked casually -- or attempted to be casual.

"Well, you are a person, and you have two other persons beside you, meaning there were already people alive." Taban pointed out raising his eyebrow.

"So yes, that would be a very safe assumption, unless we're all holograms, or highly advanced robots, but I think it would be better to put those thoughts aside, yes?" he replied serenely, not apparently concerned about any of those.

"Especially since beside our current predicament, Disruptor has proven himself to be rather inept." he explained calmly, to improve upon his point.

And Lightning says I talk too much, Ophelia thought to herself listening to the stranger. She stayed close to Terra and See-more, since she didn't really know who the other guy was.

"Well hopefully that moron is here, too, because when we find him, I am SO putting the hurt on him, powers or not."

She might have sounded a little more intimidating if she weren't pouting like a child.

See-More seemed to blank out. And he let out a laugh, waving his hand and saying to Taban, "Whoa, man, no need to get all technical with me. Just trying to lighten up the situation. Y'know, being casual. I know you're all alive, or else I'd be talking to myself." See-More's head hurt way too much to even attempt thinking of the possibility of holograms and such.

"Yeah, really. I oughta go find the guy myself and beat the crud out of him!" Pause. "... Or, uh, y'know, Terra can find him, she'll hold, and I'll punch.

"Damn right I can," she comments quickly to See-More before devoting her attention to the person she thinks is Beast Boy again.

"Is that you? I mean... you're... you're not green. Is that because of the...?" Wow, articulate little one, ain't she?

*Beast Boy had kind of been struck into shocked silence, torn between happiness at seeing his friends and, well. No, he's not green any more. What... does he look like?*

Uh... yeah. Yeah, dude, it's me, and I guess it must be because of the power disrupting thingy. *He rubbed the back of his head, blushing awkwardly and not quite sure what else to say... oh right!* I'm glad you're all okay, but dude, the others must still be around somewhere. We gotta find them.

/What an unfortunate circumstance I find myself in once again/ Taban thought to himself and at the company he was now joined with. At least he they were a larger group now. Yes, now he had some pawns to work with, based on his research, and his memory, the Titans still had acceptable combatative abilities without their powers, and would be more useful then the average adolescents.

"I agree with Beast Boy, for what its worth." Taban said simply, nodding his head in agreement. It was best to simply be the sheep for a time, and carefully prod things in the way he wanted them to go. This was an excellent time to determine the personalities of the various Titans and catalogue them in memory for future use.
