"I'm not kidding, Gon! I didn't spend it all this time!" Killua growled over his cell phone, hand behind his head and laid out on his bed. He listened to his friend make a small sound, and then ask where the money had gone then, and Killua clicked his tongue. "I don't know where it went. I mean, I have an idea considering I'm having so many problems finding leads on my account, but I'm still checking into it! After all, it's not like I can just go and bother the person I think did it without proof!"
"That's a suprise." The voice coming over the phone sounded amused, and was certainly older than Gon; Leorio. "Usually you're ready to just charge in like a cat on fire if your fun is messed with."
"That's you, Leorio." A third voice, Kurapica, rang out from the back. "You're the only one without a brain in the group, after all."
"What?!"
"Ano..." Gon began to speak, before Killua heard the speaker phone turned off and Gon sighing. He didn't need an explanation, he could hear the blonde and the brunette fighting in the background, but Gon informed him anyway. "They're at it again."
"This been a common thing?" Killua raised a brow, amused. He knew that the two often fought, but everytime the three had called from wherever they were bunking out at lately, the fight was taking less and less time to occur.
"I think they have..." Gon paused a moment on the other side. "Aunt Mito called it something, what was it? Ah! Cabin Fever! We have basically been sitting here for the last two weeks just watching our targets, and not doing much else. And you know that Leorio and Kurapica do like to fight over the silliest thing if they're together for too long."
"Yeah, I know." Killua snickered on his side of the phone, not for the first time wishing he was a part of the mission his friends were on, but knowing that at the moment he had to attend to family business, namely the business that had caused his 200,000 Jenis to dissappear as if into thin air. "Just tell them to get a room, okay?"
"Get a room?" The tone Gon had almost made Killua burst into laughter, but he refrained and only listened as a moment passed before Gon said, "Okay. Do you know when you'll be back?"
"I should have been back already!" Killua muttered. "I mean, I thought it was merely Illumi doing it, and that wouldn't have taken me more than a week, but with the blocks put up on the system, and the fact that Illumi's been busy for the last month, well..."
"You think your Elder Brother Milluki?"
"Probably so." Killua responded. "I'll let you know when I do." Green eyes slid to his computer, where something had finally popped up on his scan into the computers within the Zaoldyeck mansion, and the grin on his face was predatorial. "I'll call you back later, though. I may have a lead."
"Alright. Talk to you later, Killua!" Gon said, and Killua listened as Gon apparently found the shut-off switch for the call, before darting over to the computer sitting on his desk.
Eyes flicking over the data, he only nodded at what he had already been sure of, before sitting down to hack out some more data.
"You already know that family matters need to be handled between the individual members, Killua." Silva said, laid out on his pillows and watching his white-haired son, who had just laid out a none-too-suprising set of facts which basically added up to Milluki having hacked into Killua's account and taken his money, only to buy a ton of various Otaku stuff. "I can't do anything directly to punish him."
"I know." Killua grinned at his Father, having known he'd get this response. It was, after all, normal for fights within the Zaoldyeck household that the two involved would resolve it themselves, without getting the other family members involved, unless it was absolutely necessary. "And I'd handle it myself, except this isn't the first time he's done this to me, and I'm a bit tired of it."
"It's still between you and Milluki." Silva specified, but kept his eyes on Killua, as if expecting something.
"It will stay between he and I." Killua said. "It's also a rule that, in these cases, if we hire other members of the family to assist, they are left out of it, right?" Silva nodded to Killua's question. "Well, I'm wanting to hire some help."
"With what money?" Silva smirked a little, pointing his finger at Killua. "You yourself said your elder Brother stole it all."
Killua sighed in annoyance, sitting back on his hands. "Yeah, I know. That's why I figured I'd make a deal with you."
"And that is?" Silva raised a brow and watched as Killua sat back up, a devious grin on his face. A small smile played on the older man's lips, and he sat up to watch Killua intently, well aware that the plan about to be laid out, as well as the deal, should be a good one indeed.
The laughter that rang out later that night as Silva spoke to his own Father about Killua's plan was heard pretty plainly by anyone who was near them, which mostly consisted of Kikyo and Karuto.
"I must admit," Xeno smiled at his son, nodding faintly. "It's a bit childish, but definitely something that Milluki would understand."
"Yes," Silva nodded, crossing his arms as he moved to the window to look out upon the slowly darkening Kukuru Mountain. "And Killua's already said he'll handle a handful of missions adding up to around one-million Jenis to pay me back for my small part in it all."
Xeno nodded intently. "But will you be able to find a reason to call Milluki out so Killua can get in?"
"Oh, that's not too hard." Silva smiled in amusement. "Milluki has a very large ego when it comes to all of his technical knowledge, to the point he even sometimes thinks that we, his family, are stupid enough not to be able to see through his little schemes. But you and I both know that's not true. We have just as much knowledge as he does, if not a bit more where it counts." Silva's eyes shifted from the window to look at his Father. "After Killua left, I did a bit of research of my own. Want to make a guess what I found?"
"Let me guess," The old man sat down in a nearby chair, messing with the front of his clothes that presently read "Family Affairs" as he spoke. "When he went in to mess with Killua's account, he also peeked into all of ours. Am I right?"
"Quite so." Silva smirked softly. "I have told him in the past that he is not to be looking into certain accounts. I have also told him that if he does, he will receive a fitting punishment." Silver eyes seemed to almost glow for a moment as a grin illustrating where Killua's had come from crossed the head Zoaldyeck's face. "I've let Killua know exactly what to do for that. And it will hit home just as well as Killua's attack."
"Oh, what fun." Xeno chuckled to himself, keeping his eyes on his son. "You will let me know how it turns out? Although, I imagine Milluki will let the whole neighborhood know."
"Yes," Silva laughed a little. "Milluki will make sure everyone knows."
The plan was set, all aspects which could affect the outcome considered and handled to the best extent possible, and all players were in position. Killua merely waited for the moment that signalled the plan was to begin, and that moment he saw coming down the hall in the form of Goto, one of the family butlers.
Keeping his Nen hidden, and the laughter he felt inside subdued, Killua watched as the butler knocked on the door only to receive an almost-cranky sounding response from the room he was knocking at, before relaying a message that the person inside was being summoned by his Father, and that he was to come immediately.
Another sound, this one almost like the sound of a five-year-old's tantrum erupted from behind the door, and a loud 'Can't he come himself?' was interjected between the wood that seperated the room's occupant and the butler outside, who took the vocal attack as if it were as typical, and normal, as anything else one would see in the Zoaldyeck Mansion, something which was, for the most part, true.
The firm but emotionless response consisted of a reiteration of the original orders, and green eyes watched as a pink-shirted fatty answered the door, glared darkly at Goto, and then stomped off in the direction of where his Father would be, well aware that no amount of glaring, or striking out, would change the fact that the King of the Home had spoken, and thus it's servants would have to bow to his command.
Goto merely bowed, until the pink blob was almost entirely out of sight, before he straighted himself and glanced to the rafters where the green eyes had been watching the scene intently. A very gentle movement of the hand, almost inviting him into the room which had been left open, was all that was given before the butler moved away.
Killua waited only moments before dropping down, and moving into Milluki's room, shutting the door as quietly behind himself as he could before he glanced around, taking in the new resin models and games which had been bought with his 200,000 Jenis, before taking in the rest of the massive collection of CDs, Games, Models, Manga, Anime and other things that his brother had spent his years collecting.
Sliding the backpack he had carried with him off, Killua moved over to one of the shelves in Milluki's room, starting his evil little plan.
Killua tallied what he could in his head, coming to the figure of about 500,000 Jenis worth of destruction. A small amount if one compared it to what Milluki had spent over the years on his collection, and really not that much if you considered how often he had pulled things like this, but it wasn't really the money that was going to make the point; It was what had been damaged.
Knowing full-well that he had very little time, Killua's first task had been to browse the varied shelves his brother kept of Resin Models. He didn't bother to touch any of the new things Milluki had ordered, instead going for some models he had researched into that were now quite expensive and rare. Those had been slid into his backpack fairly quickly, as well as some of the other models which Killua had remembered Milluki bragging about being his favorites.
All of those secured, to be handled at a later time, Killua had moved on to handling what his Father had requested of him. This involved a Xacto knife which he had placed in his pocket earlier, and many of Milluki's games. Ignoring, at the beginning, anything cartridge based, Killua had pulled out Milluki's collection of CD-System games, neatly opening each box, setting a neat, but deep, slice into each CD, and then replacing it onto the shelf for his brother to find later.
The Xacto was then used next on Milluki's manga collection. This was even easier to handle than the CDs, Killua just taking the knife and drawing it horizontally across as he moved from one side of the books to the other on his way to cause a little more destruction, this time on some very important artbooks that had cost Milluki between 100 and 500 Jenis apiece.
After doing that, Killua had looked at his watch, and realizing Milluki would be returning soon, left the room to head off to his own. This is where part two of his plan would take place, and Killua very quickly got out what could only be described as a deep fryer, lots of gasoline, and the batteries needed to run it, before heading outside to where he had asked Kanaria to clear him a spot to cook in.
Adding in the gasoline to the deep fryer, and lighting it with his ligher, Killua waited for the flames to burn bright red, an indication that the oil was burning very well, before he started to pull one resin figure after another out of his backpack, hold it over the flame, happily whistle and drop it into the pot, watching it slowly melt.
Once the figures were done melting, and by this time Killua could hear Milluki screaming about his figures were stolen, Killua used some foam to put out the gas fire and waited just a few minutes before using a knife and metal spatula to pull out the large clump of resin which had amassed at the bottom of the deep fryer.
That clump, he happily placed into a cardboard box he had also asked Kanaria to arrange for, which he sealed and then wrote Milluki's name on, before starting off the short distance to the servant's quarters. Arriving at said quarters, he dropped the box with the only remaining servant there, the others having been called to look for Milluki's missing figures, before taking off for the front gates.
Mission for now accomplished, Killua had informed Silva he'd be joining his friends and to call if he had any further use for him, but otherwise it was decided it would be best for him to stay low. Milluki may not have figured out yet that his younger brother was the cause of the massive dissapearance of the figurines, but once he received the box of melted resin, it would probably not take him too long to put two and two together and want to kill his younger brother.
Plus, when he found out about the games (by now the manga had to be apparent, right?), Killua knew he would be deader than dead if he hung around the house. All told, it was definitely safer to get out, and fast.
Killua was busy laughing as he came off the blimp he'd taken to meet up with Gon and the others, highly amused at the ever-increasing, and ever more detailed descriptions of how he would be killed that were coming in from his elder brother, as well as the slightly less detailed comments about the amount of damage he'd apparently done, which was rapidly increasing as Milluki went on and on about things.
He was still busy laughing when Gon came to pick him up, and still busy laughing even as Gon expressed his worry for Killua's health and safety, and probably would have kept laughing about it, until it occured to him. "Gon, do you have any money?
"Ah?" Gon looked at Killua, blinking a little. "I have a little, why?"
"I forgot to get my chocolates!"
A moment of silence passed, before Gon started laughing.
"What, what's funny?" Killua pouted. "I need chocolate! It's like my life blood, you know? And I even had a large stash at home that I'd managed to snag on the way back, but I didn't even think to pack it! So now I am out here without money and no chocolate either! So what's funny? Gon! GON!!! It isn't funny!!!"
By this time of course, Gon had already started sprinting to the house they were staying in, and leaving the ever-oblviious Killua behind. After all, it wasn't his fault Killua had concocted the perfect vengeance against his Brother, but then managed to mess himself up at the same time.
