Hey!Say!LETTER
Hey!Say!7 UltraPower
Nakajima: Good evening, this is HS7’s Nakajima Yuto
Chinen: Good evening, this is Chinen Yuri
Nakajima: Hey! Don’t yawn
Chinen: Well, this is Yuri kun’s 4th week straight
Nakajima: Calling yourself …. Is a bit… but Yuri… Chi is on his 4th week now?
Chinen: So that means you’ll take over this time
Nakajima: That means if I get tired next, I’ll be able to hear Chinen’s jokes..
Chinen: Yeah
Nakajima: Is it?
Chinen: Yes
Nakajima: I’ll be waiting for the counter attack
Chinen: So, it’s December…
Nakajima: If you send a New Years greeting card from December 15th to December 25th, it says the letter will arrive right on New Years. I wonder if it really does, I’ve never tried it before. Have you ever sent a New Years greeting card before?
Chinen: I have but I don’t really like to
Nakajima: Yeah… it’s fun to make one but we only contact other members or other sempai by e-mail so, we don’t really have many opportunities to write one. I guess it’s a great chance to write one. Let’s start soon
Hey!Say!7 UltraPower

Hey!Say!LETTER
Chinen: This corner is where we have you send us various topics, such as an interesting happening in your daily life, a simple question, or a special trivial you know.
Nakajima: I see
Chinen: Yup
Nakajima: Okay, well let’s start introducing the letters. This is from penname Kotomi san “good evening. I’ll be graduating soon and I have a question for everyone. What song did you sing on your graduation? Please tell me” She’s a 6th grader! I... I sang that *hums* SMAP san’s song that was on CM
Chinen: Oh I know, it’s
Naka-Chi: Tabitachi no hi ni
Nakajima: I sang Tabitachi no Hi ni, that was a tear-jerker
Chinen: That’s great but I didn’t cry at mine
Nakajima: What did you sing?
Chinen: What was it? Ours had a different one than others… I think it was like “being born on this earth” I think
Nakajima: I remember that one
Chinen: I’m sorry my memory is a bit blur
Nakajima: But did you cry then?
Chinen: I didn’t cry
Nakajima: You didn’t?
Chinen: I was smiling
Nakajima: Isn’t that…
Chinen: But [graduation] is a good thing! You get older and
Nakajima: I guess
Chinen: There’s nothing to cry about that
Nakajima: But it’s 6th grade
Chinen: There’s nothing special about it
Nakajima: From radioname Suzuka san “Good evening, everyone from HS7. My friend said the funniest thing the other day. My friend’s friend was fighting and she said ‘I don’t get it, Pardon?’ Everyone around was saying ‘eh? What’s pardon?’”… eh parudon “’I don’t get it, parudon?’ and everyone around was laughing at her saying ‘eh? What’s parudon?’ but when I asked her later, she wanted to say ‘pardon’. Now we look back and laugh at this. Have any of you misspoken?” She said Pardon, Parudon. She must’ve read it straight out.
Chinen: It’s “Pardon”…
Nakajima: “pardon?”
Chinen: It’s “Pardon”…
Nakajima: It means to ask again, right?
Chinen: Parudon?
Nakajima: Sounds a bit like “Paris”
Chinen: pardon?
Nakajima: Eh?
Chinen: Pardon?
Nakajima: Shut up, that’s pardon for sure
Chinen: Saying pa pa pa too many times
Nakajima: It’s a bit.. a bit..
Chinen: Annoying
Nakajima: disappointing… she said parudon
Chinen: That’s not good
Nakajima: Have you ever misspoken? I do a lot, like… there are so many people like that in the world like [can’t clearly hear the words but about misreading kanji].
Chinen: Pardon?
Nakajima: Fine then! Go! Go!
Chinen: If you keep saying stuff like that I’m going to keep saying ‘pardon’
Nakajima: Fine, let’s go to the next one then!
Chinen: Let me read the next one
Nakajima: Just read it!
Chinen: From radioname Akka san
Nakajima: Akka san?
Chinen: Yes
Nakajima: *sings* [Maybe Akko san’s song] Oh, that’s not it
Chinen: “Please hear my story that happened the other day during a drive with my 3 year old cousin and my family”
Nakajima: How cute, a 3 year old
Chinen: “The car in front of us didn’t stop and went through the red light, when I saw that I yelled “that car ignored the traffic signal” then, my 3 years old cousin said “where’s bug? where’s the bug” clinging on the car window, trying to find the bug… “
※信号/shingou/traffic signal無視/mushi/ to ignore 虫/mushi/bug
“My cousin loves bugs so, my cousin thought shingou mushi meant a type of bug. Everyone in the car was laughing hysterically” first that caught my attention, before going on to the story, is to arrest the person who drove through the red light.
Nakajima: Yeah, I think so too…. I don’t think that was a good idea
Chinen: Yeah, and we always go into the question like that
Nakajima: I like to go in through the other way too
Chinen: We usually don’t answer the question that’s asked
Nakajima: Yeah, we’re sorry
Chinen: Sorry
Nakajima: Sorry
Chinen: We always talk about things that interests us the most first and talk our way through there
Nakajima: Yeah, we’re just people who like to go the other way… our hobby
Chinen: “that car ignored the traffic signal”
Nakajima: “Ignored the traffic signal” that’s so cute
Chinen: The car ignored the traffic signal
Nakajima: Like where’s the “ignored the traffic signal” ç Referring to the bug
Chinen: Well the kid was 3 years old, it happens
Nakajima: The kid was 3 years old, that’s around the time when you start to have interest in things
Chinen: Like me
Nakajima: Well, please keep sending us an interesting happening in your life, question for us or others. That was Hey!Say!LETTERS corner
Chinen: Please listen to a song for now, it’s HSJ’s
Naka-Chi: UltraMusicPower
UMP♪
Nakajima: It’s already time for us to go~
Chinen: “Ignored the scripts!” that’s not possible
Nakajima: Not at all
Chinen: “Ignored the scripts!!”
Nakajima: Ignored the scripts? Where, where’s the bug?
Chinen: There, there!!
Nakajima: Oh!
Chinen: There, outside the window! Outside the window! Fall!
Nakajima: AHHH~ I don’t get it
Chinen: We’ve gone a little stupid just now. Sorry about that
Nakajima: Story about that 3 year old was really cute
Chinen: Yeah. Well, Yuto kun was cute too just a moment ago. Going like “Wah! Wah!”
Nakajima: What? … Thanks. We are waiting for your mails
