that sense of impending doom...

Have you ever had that feeling when you're on the pulldown machine, on your third set of your fifth exercise, and you feel a sneeze coming on? What do you do? Do you stop in the middle of your set, only to find that it was a false alarm? Or do you bravely push forward, hoping that your muscles will fatigue before your nasal control does?

What if the sneeze escapes; do you turn your head and pray that the person who had been doing pull-ups next to you is finished? Or do you panic, let go of the bar to cover your nose, and let gravity do it's thing bringing 120 pounds of metal plates to a crashing halt at the bottom of the stack?

At this point, I'm thankful that I wasn't doing bench press or squats or something.

What's worse is after I narrowly escaped my moment of impending doom, and I went to scratch [pick] my nose to prevent future flare ups, I completely missed the nostril and almost poked myself in the eye because my arms were so tired.

On the plus side, that's evidence that it was a good workout.
