I [heart] NY

I always thought that statement was the corniest and most overused, but after coming back from there, I wholeheartedly agree. I love that place. I went to visit my mom there during the Thanksgiving break. My mom has been saying since she moved there that I belong there. I agree. It's a fast city. I can use the subway to get anywhere (which is 24 hours). The boys are beautiful---I saw the blackest looking Dominicans and they spoke Spanish. I loved it. It's such a diverse city and there's plenty to do any time of the night. My mom and I would return home to the Bronx at 1am every night (except Friday because it was so cold).

I really need to go back. I went out with Gina last night (who's from New Jersey) and we couldn't find anything to do at midnight. We didn't want to pay to enter a club since all the clubs close at 2am. In NY, 10 year old kids are still walking around with their parents at midnight. The nightlife there is everlasting. I wish I could have been there with someone my own age so I would get to experience the city from a young person's perspective.

I am so grateful that God has given me the opportunity to travel because my dream of studying abroad doesn't seem likely.

Next stop, Atlanta then London.

new york, my mom
