Shoe-Icons

Shoe-Icons company has started a shoe museum, with the idea to show the development of the footwear design in the world. At present museum collection is more than 800 pairs and is constantly growing. The museum has articles from 17 th century, designer footwear and ethnic shoes.

Among the famous designers represented in the collection are Salvatore Ferragamo, Roger Vivier, Francois Pinet, Andrea Pfister, Manolo Blahnik, Sir Edward Rayne, Terry de Havilland, Patrick Cox, Maud Frizon, Andrew Geller, Stuart Weitzman, Beth and Herbert Levine, Vivienne Westwood and others.

Museum is planning to run exhibitions on various aspects of footwear design.

Besides shoe photos, there are illustrations and advertisements. Tiny and therefore not much detail, but still entertaining. Very much a teaser for the book. (I'm sure there's a book, the site is put up by a publisher. :)
