I am still on Twitter (albeit sporadically at the moment) and Facebook (almost daily)

The use of real names and the inability to screen posts are two big problems for me with Facebook.

That and the fact that it's "trendy" and "popular." When's the last time you heard Livejournal mentioned in a TV show or a commercial?

Well, just as I don't think all popular things are good, nor can I think all popular things are bad.

I can't argue your first point as that's a personal feeling, but I'm pretty sure you can tighten security to your heart's content. There are people on FB who don't want me to read their stuff and, boy howdy, I can't.

But, I'm not out to convert. Just to dissent. :)
