Here are some more pictures from our trip. Unfortunately, right after we left Eureka, our camera conked out (we forgot to charge it before we left!!) and we had to buy disposables the rest of trip. Until we get those pics back, I can't share anything else with you. :-( Nonetheless:
Inside the Owl Club restaurant, where we ate dinner (and breakfast). Fun place.
Me, standing in the Eureka County Courthouse, Nevada's oldest still-working courthouse. There was nothing going on there the day we were there, so they let us run around at will. In this pose, I almost look like I should be doing one of those "Have you been injured? My firm is here to help!" type of ads.
The courtroom at the Eureka County Courthouse, as seen in dozens of TV shows and movies.
The firebell in front of the Eureka Sentinel Museum. They use this fire bell when there's a fire in town: the amount of gongs tells the firemen where the fire is.
The Eureka Sentinel building, now a museum. At one time, Nevada's largest newspaper was published right here. Inside are the original presses and equipment.
Inside the Eureka Opera House. They still put performances on here to this day.
The backstage area of the opera house. Every time they finish a production, the cast and crew signs the wall. After over a hundred years, you can imagine how crowded the wall is. This is just one of the many, many "signature walls" back there.
Outside shot of the Eureka Opera House.
I look forward to showing you more of our adventures in the near future. I'll probably do 1 or 2 posts a week like this one until we're all done.
