(no subject)
Soooo Emily and I went to the TAI/Panic/Hellogoodbye/Acceptance show on weds. The show itself was good... i got to irving around 745, got to cut the line (thank god for guest lists!), and got my little VIP sticker that you know, made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. When I got inside, I called tony (TAI's tour manager) because my interview was at 8 (everything got all mixed up, so i was interviewing them again rather than panic) so tony is all like, kate scheduled both interviews for 8, so do you want to call back at like 830? so i say okay. so im chilling out by the merch stuff, watching all the kids go by, and feeling really old haha. so emily gets there at like, 825, we call tony, he was like... 10 more minutes... whatev. emily and i make jokes about how the bar must make no money on nights like this. so finally i call tony and hes like, okay ill meet you are the bar, and im like, "so will it be all the guys or just william again?" because i love william but i would like to interview the band, not just the singer... and tony is like... its going to be tom and the butcher. what? so i sigh inside and wait for tony. so we meet him, go upstairs and into the dressing room. there we see the funniest sight ever. william is sitting getting his hair cut. no, not styled, cut. before the show. ahaha. so also there is a post it on the mirror that says, "I smell soooooooo bad - butcher", so, you know, thats nice. so butcher is on the couch with like... 2 girls, william is getting his hair cut, tom is walking around, and tony is like-- "tom... interview?" and tom is like, "i have stuff to do, can't he [butcher] just do it?" So im like... uhh no thanks... not that i dont love you all, but an interview with only the drummer who barely talks and is obviously busy with some ladies is not sounding good to me. Except in real life, i just asked tony if i could set something up with panic. so hes like... give me one minute, and runs out, leaving me and emily in TAI's dressingroom, feeling rather awkward... we're trying to make small talk, but both thinking whaaaaattt are we dooooooinng? so tony comes back with some dude... scott i think, who is panic's tm. hes like.... ohh i m sooo so sorry but we canceled all their interviews.... blah blah blahhhhhhhh they are tired/sick something whatever.... blahhhhhh sorry. ill find you later. So emily and I peace out of the dressing room, but get to stay in the vip area due to our nifty stickers. Later we see kate, who is TAI and panic's publicist, who we worked with at Big Hassle. Kate was all sad the interview(s) didnt work, and promised me next time, which is okay by me... so were chatting it up, talking about how skinny the boys are, and kate goes, "oh! did you see? Mikey is here!" So I'm like.... mikey.....? mikey... do i know this mikey??? Luckily Kate is like, "Mikey Way, from MCR." and im like ohhhh. yeah, def saw him like a zillion times, stood next to him, no clue who he was... haha oh well. So when the show was over, Emily and i wandered for a bit, found a diner, ate at this weirdest diner ever. went back to her apt, chatted and then slept. not super fun, but fun none the less.
