It's Census Day, America!
Why is the census so groovy hip cool, you ask? Because it determines federal funding for hospitals, roads, schools, etc. It also determines the number and location of Representatives in Congress, since those are based on population.
The information in your census form is NOT SHARED. Not with immigration, not with the cops, not with anybody for almost fifty SEVENTY-TWO years. My mom, who is working for the census this year, is not allowed to report anything she sees while on census duty. Her group is going to a really sketchy nursing home, but can't raise a finger or make a phone call. Under penalty of $250,000 and/or 5 years in prison. WHAT HAPPENS ON THE CENSUS STAYS ON THE CENSUS.
