Random spotting

Jun 23, 2011 23:03

Three times in the last two or so weeks, I've had very light, very random spotting. I usually wear a panty liner because I have a lot of discharge (oh, the joys of pregnancy :-P) and it's never showed up on the pad, only when I wipe, and it's only happened three times. Like, I pee, I wipe, there's pink on the toilet paper, I wipe again and it's ( Read more... )

So I'm sorry it's really to early for me right now, I'm racking my brain have you gotten a cervical check recently? Because my doc told me light spotting like that could be from a check or even the strep test. Nothing to really worry about. But if not I'd call the doc. The worse they can tell you is "oh it's nothing to worry about."

Nope, no checks or tests. I'm having a C-section so the last time I had a check was like a month ago when I was in the hospital for heart issues. I do have a yeast infection so I'm thinking the spotting this time could be from the stupid plastic applicator things, but the two times I spotted before, I wasn't using those, so I'll probably call just to let my OB know.

It's probably blood vessels rupturing from the pressure of your baby's head. It's normal, but even light spotting late in pregnancy can mean labor is near! I'd call your doctor/midwife, just to make them aware of the situation. They may not be concerned at all, but you never know!

I'll probably call in a bit cuz it happened again this morning. I'm 35 weeks and don't have any other signs of labor so I doubt it's anything. I was less than 1cm dilated at five days before my due date with my first and was induced and ended up with a C-section and am having a repeat C-section this time so I just assume I won't go into labor, but of course every pregnancy is different.

If you are having BH the spotting could be because you are starting to dilate a little, but if it worries you, then let your Dr know.

I had a lot of BH last night and the spotting happened again this morning so I may call my OB in a bit. Thanks!

I just waited until my next appointment to tell the OB, and he was like, "That's cool, might be your bloody show, might just be a bit of spotting, don't worry about it until it's like period bleeding, like you can feel it coming out and there's more than you can wear a pantyliner for." So I'm sticking with that one.

I have to wear a pantyliner every day because I leak pee constantly, so it shows up on there once in awhile.

If you're worried, call, but if not, I wouldn't worry too much, and just bring it up at the next appt?

Thanks for the info! It happened again this morning so I may call just to let my OB know in case something ends up happening, although I'm sure it won't.

If I sit on the toilet too long (you know to wait and see if she'll move off of my bladder and I'll be able to pee more) I spot some. Doc said its okay and perfectly normal.

My OB said she's not concerned and to just take it easy today and call if it increases or turns red. I'm getting a bit uncomfortable - baby hasn't dropped but he definitely moved into a different position and has some part of him down really low and it gives me little cramps/twinges, so I assume that's what's causing the spotting, especially since he's soooooo active.
