Easter.
I was just reading the newspaper and I saw an article about an easter egg hunt that reminded me of this story that happened to me when I was a little girl.
My mom took me to an easter egg hunt in like a department store when I was little and I found a good number of eggs. Somewhere along the way we ran across another little kid and their mom. The little kid was sad because they hadn't found many eggs so I said, "Here, you can have some of mine!" and I proceeded to give the other little kid some eggs, for which the kid was appreciative. It was a beautiful moment of compassion and innocent children who understood the value of sharing. That is, until the other kid's mom scoffs and goes, "It's just not the same" really snippily.
