You should be used to this, eh?

1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before? Saw pictures of my ovaries. Rented a cabin and hiked up a mountain. Went on a completely solo vacation - saw Savannah! Went inside a cave system. Found a blimp hangar.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? The resolution was to be vegan for a month… I almost made it. I feel okay about it. This year’s resolution will be to get myself back in proper order physically. And to stick with things that matter even if they’re really difficult.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Yes, my cousin Teresa had a baby.

4. Did anyone close to you die? Yes, my uncle Jimmy.

5. What countries did you visit? The countries of New Jersey, DC, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.

6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006? More adventures… not that I lacked any in ’06, but more could never hurt, right?

7. What date from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? May 5 because it was the worst road trip of my life, but it ended up bringing me to one of the most awesome vacations ever. The cabin shall become a tradition, my friends. I’ll also say that the night of tres Halloween parties was pretty awesome as well. Hey there, little red.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Being able to help my mom out of a pretty big jam. Handling lots of crazy medical stuff with relative sanity. Keeping my general crazy in check.

9. What was your biggest failure? I’m sort of broke right now. But it’s Christmas, so oh well. I should also re-join the Y.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? Busted up some limbs at Crabtree Falls - just be aware, river rocks are slippery, guys. Spent some time in the Maryview ER followed by a little surgery. It’s okay-ish now, though. Oh, and I had a prolonged cold after Halloween due to passing it back and forth with another ill party.

11. What was the best thing you bought? Cabin rental. Oh, and I splurged on a really fancy dinner for myself on my first night in Savannah - it was awesome!

12. Whose behavior merited celebration? Angie for putting up with me 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. I’m a full-time job.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Everyone who didn’t vote or who voted for the marriage amendment.

14. Where did most of your money go? Bills, good food, toys (bikes) and adventure.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Cabins and bonfires and river exploration in the dark (and under the influence). New music. Spelunking. “What is that huge thing over there, let’s go find it!” -Blimp hangar. Savannah being the most beautiful city ever. Unplanned late-night journeys. Halloween parties and subsequent rides home. Napping and drooling on a shoulder only to later be laughed at. My Christmas party date and funtimes. I get excited about lots of things.
